Yep, a very nice pro for a paladin is that you don't have to grind out two mineral II weapons... Holy Sword is awesome...

Good for Shroud farming? - Yes.

Perfect? - Needs Evasion for that.
One single lag spike can easily mean the end for a non-Evasion melee against Harry, while the melees with Evasion have a much greater leniency for that.

You list toughness enhancements but didn't actually take the toughness feat? I thought they fixed the minos legens bug, or is that in mod 9?

Its still broken. Fixed in mod 9. You'd just take toughness at 18 then.

Pefect in the sense of dps without gear. No one will ever die with 410 hp in there. Have you even played shroud? This build will save it and take half, and half of ~250 is hardly enough to kill. No lagg spike will ever kill this character, unless the clerics are extremly bad.
Also recall Loh's and 30% healer friendly.

Yepp, but theirs have a different purpose, :P. And most probably different stats, enhancements and/or feats.

Build resembles quite a few of the twf pure pallys about. Love H.S. spell!!!

If you are thinking post mod 9 shrouding, recommend spending the AP's on KotC for the dps and dropping the bulwarks; if dps is your goal those couple of pts of ac don't seem that useful.

    Who is this build for?

New player: I wouldn't build this as my one or two only characters to play DDO and farm shroud
Power player: Shroud loops are a by product not a build to quest for that precious tenth character slot.

Build is cheap to run and meh to play......not sure who would benifit from spending the time or slot for it though. Want a funtional shroud character you will run rarely and cheaply in the shroud.....easy to level for a moderate play time character, roll a healbot. Get invited to every shroud out there, and super easy to play one you understand the pools in five.

You could literaly run naked with a superior potency six scepter and be welcome again and again. Halfling. All healing marks, empower, quicken, mt.

Actually, I think a Pure ranger with FE: EO, Elemental, Construct, and Gnoll would make a better Cheap Shroud Farmer.

It's basicly for powergamers who have rerolled on a new server, and need a cheap toon to farm larges for his main.

Obviously capstone and kotc will be taken.

Me and yar, basically people who just moved to US and don't want any loot on said character. Someone who already have a min char and needs a lot of ingreds.

A cleric wouldn't be as efficient as there are more DPS slots than cleric slots, and because clerics from time to time requires majors / heal scrolls even with good sp gear.

Oh, and clerics are boring as hell to play in shroud, so dull and easy to heal. And melee dps is the most fun.

As one don't have a good transmuter they would not. Losing ~15 damage each hit wouldn't be good enough. Against arraetrikos.

Getting a hold of a Transmuter of PG isnt that hard. Plus the +14 Fav Enemy Damage and +3 Damage from Rams might already compensates "Just in case"

What kind of powergamer needs Majors to farm shroud? I LOL'ed when I read that.

If you only have a few characters and want one to farm shroud a Spellsinger / Healing spec bard would be better.

    1. Bards and healers are in higher demand than DPS characters in Shroud.
    2. Insane Haggle will make way more money.
    3. Easier to level because of higher party demand.
    4. Can replace a cleric and consume the bard spot meaning an extra DPS can come on your runs making them go that much faster and smoother.

Um, these stats are pretty standard for a twf human paladin. As are the feats and enhancements. Not sure what the big deal is.

    Is it this:

Oh I see. Because powergamers need to know how to build a run of the mill paladin.

Lol. Well, on the plus side, 2 months from now we get to listen to them point out how they created the first TWF pure pali on the US servers.

I have to admit, I got tired of every thread about a build for a while "Monster can do this, Monster can do that better", BUT I realize it was more of way to say : think more.

I've never grouped with Yar or A-O, but honestly seems like good input.

Yes, My DPS will get out DPS'ed by the Monster, but do I care? NO

Can I do solid DPS? Yes.

Will the monster have higher saves or AC than my str based ranger? NO

Can I CONTRIBUTE to the party? Yes (Well, until I fall in lava).

Honestly peeps, it's a game. It's a simple way for new folks to build a shroud farmer with decent DPS.

Granted, it may not be needed later, but notice not a single shroud item/weapon? Easy to delete if needed!

I point to a weak point in your self-praised build and you answer with an insult?

A remark critical to your build is countered with an argumentum ad hominem, an allegation of being a uninformed noob?

No one will ever die with 410 hp in there. .... This build will save it and take half, and half of ~250 is hardly enough to kill.
Your "perfect" build wont die from a single DFB in there, like any other halfway decent melee build who calls himself a tank. But you also take blades damage, cleaves from harry and will not be at full health all the time.
Stating that 410 HP with a good ref-save is a no-die zone is a simple exaggeration of your build´s capabilities.

No lagg spike will ever kill this character, unless the clerics are extremly bad.
Also recall Loh's and 30% healer friendly.
Lagspikes happen, even more often in high-DPS groups who induce DPS-lag themself. One to two secounds where you are frozen. People have 3/4 of their HP bar displayed, yet are red-named and dead.

Yeah, you are right. Its always the clerics fault when you die.

You make the big claim of having contrived a "perfect" build for a job, yet you seem to be extremly touchy of people who are not instantly swayed to your glorious ideas.

It's not a self praised build. Seems to me it was put out for people that are having issues building chars (that are new, don't have a lot of time etc).

It's a very cheap and very solid DPS build vs Harry. Holy sword rocks, and if you only have one or two chars, this can easily help you create more loot/larges easily.
