Default Permadeath 101 Friday Nights Ghallanda

If you are interested in running a newly made character in a PD style of play at low levels to see if it is a good fit for you Valhalla Permadeath Guild invites you to run with us on Friday Nights (or any night that you see someone lvl 3 or so wandering about. Tell them you are interested in PD play and run a quest with them. Mention that you saw this post.

On Friday nights we try to run our lowest characters to help newer guild members and those to PD playstyle get off Korthos and out of the Harbor. We typically start about 8pm EST and go on until about midnight or later EST.

We also will reset groups so players new to the playstyle will not have to run solo or duo.

Give any Valhalla Permadeath Guild member a tell if you are interested. No strings attached, but I do ask that you are at least "considering" running a PD toon.

I'm tempted. I need to make a cleric (i consider it an obligation at this point lol) and playing one permadeath might be good practice for a non-permadeath one for later. Plus the playstyle sounds fun (for at least one character). But I don't wanna get blamed when someone else dies . I'm skeered. What are the rules (besides you die, you re-roll)? No twinking, AH, etc..?

The rules are posted at the link (see my sig tag)

    I'll summarize

The most important rule is to keep the guild first when you are there. Teamwork is vital in PD play and guilds are formed I feel by like minded individuals who realize that espirit de corps makes D&D a team game more enjoyable. Now off the soapbox.

1 - If you die and are not legally rezzed you delete. I have a cleric with five rezzes. He's very popular.
2 - No use of the AH at all -
3 - No buying from brokers - you may sell
4 - No buying consumable magic such as potions, scrolls, wands etc. You may buy components and inscriptions.
5 - While rez's are allowed if you hit your base CON in deaths you must delete (a la PnP)
6 - No spoilers - Role play that nasty trap. Let the Rogue/Ranger be the scout.
7 - Open quests on hardest settting possible and no repeating quests - and no reentering quests if you leave
8 - There are other rules but that's the short effective version!

I think that this is a tough and challenging rule set that emulates PnP style. We emphasize teamwork. Also, we want players who share the Goals of our guild - to run Challenging Content at Appropriate Levels.

I think that the synergy in our guild has become very strong and we look forward to you checking us out!

Send any member of Valhalla Permadeath Guild a tell and tell them KG Sent you!
