Launcher Update Crash, please help!

I've just installed Stormreach again after quite a while of not playing it, and I had made a trial account from registering and downloading from https://trial.turbine.com/ddo.php . So I register, I verify my account and all of that, and then I get the downloader, finish downloading, and install the game into my computer. That finished, so I started up the launcher. What happens is it connects well, examines the program well, but the very second it gets to Update Programs I get this error and I must close out of the launcher, and the same thing happens every time:

Program: ...ngeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach/TurbineLauncher.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

So, it fails to update the game, and I'm not sure why. I downloaded everything just right, and I keep getting this error. What's going on?

Same here, running on Windows XP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
