ok guys need some help

I was running windows 7 beta and recently had to update it to the newer version(evaluation version). I had no problems before update but now my mic wont work ingame. I have it running on skype and it records normal when i try all the tests just wont register in game. Any ideas? My guess is that its a windows 7 support issue but if anyone else has had this problem and might have an idea please let me know.

update changed over to a usb webcam mic and its workin fine.

I'm thinking its a sound driver issue, theres alot of driver support out there for Windows 7 but I have found that Vista drivers work the majority of the time for it as well.
