Devil Assult Elite- Caster Solo

This didn't go in my other thread of speed runs as this definitely wasn't speedy....... Well the first part was but the final boss took forever. He has higher SR than the boss in Vod and a higher AC too.

Used 8 mana pots (all but 1 on the last fight) and about 25 reconstruct scrolls (ALL on the last fight). Ran out of divine power clickies at the end and needed to spell dps him down. No evasion and not having blade barrier made this an enormous challenge.

Build is Breakbeat a 15wiz/1 barb.

Tried the same thing when the quest first came out on my sorc. (pure sorc, 8 starting str) .. Easy enough to get up to that final boss.. But couldn't take him down without using allot of mana pots, which I didnt wana use, so I retreated.

Definetely a very hard boss for non-melee so props for taking him out with nukes.

As a side note, is there a way to complete the quest without getting conquest? I am not aware of one.

I'm not sure but I do notice that I have quite a few less kills than some of the other solo completions of this quest posted on the boards...have no idea why. I do know that until that darn boss I was moving through it pretty quickly. I actually thought I was going to have about a 30 minute completion lol. That end dude is tough (at least when I couldn't melee him). Someday I might try it again with another 20 divine power clickies in my bag.
