    Default WF Battle Sorc v2.0

    Ok I made some mistakes in the last one, referenced in this thread.

    Here is the new and improved.



    Changes:
    • Removed 1 level of pali and replaced with sorc
    • Removed Heighten
    • Added Empower
    • Added Max at level 3, Extend at level 6

    Besides UMD, why splash rogue over monk? Sorcerers can have a very high UMD at endgame, and the monk could net you better saves/ hitpoints.

    I too would go monk, you don't need a 50UMD on a sorc. I'd ditch Highten...only 12 levels of sorc anyway...it's gonna save with or without. You're not even maxing cha at the start, I'd say DC's are a lost cause.

    2 rogue gets you 1d6+3 sneak damage, or the equivalent of 13pts of strength whenever you don't have aggro (for a battlemag it should happen quite often depending on your party members).

    Now whether it is worth the loss of 2 feats is up to the builder.

    Heighten is not on the build... read closely.

    A sorc can get a 39 UMD using a bunch of gear. By taking rogue I can have maxed UMD, which allows me to spec my gear almost compeltely for melee.

    Plus I love the sneak attack. Oh, and the rogue attack speed boost is a sweet little bonus.

    The difference HP with a monk is very small, and this is on a self-healing WF, the reason to splash monk would be feats. But on a build like this, you're probably looking at what, power attack and UMD skill focus? And actually with all the metamagic I'm not sure I could get the feats I want out of the monk anyway since the monk choices are limited. Not sure those feats are as nice as what rogue's getting me. Dont really have much need for the feats honestly.

    The additional to-hit and damage when not holding aggro, plus all the extra UMD, plus the rogue enhancments, for me is worth the two monk levels.

    Honestly the UMD is a big deal to me. Inventory slots are very powerful in the end game where you are running 2 different set bonuses, plus greenstell equipment. Being able to totally ditch tons of UMD gear is going to help a great deal. On the other hand you could use a monk feat to free up space for something like UMD skill focus I guess... shurg
