No I have not been on the server.
Reason(s):
1. I don't have the bandwidth to download content to play beta servers and play on a live server,
2. I don't have the time to beta test, therefore, I trust established friends who do for feedback,
3. Even if i did have the time, I play off peak US times (this implies limited opportunities to group to complete raids and this means pugging 4-6 spots in a raid group) and with 8 capped toons keeping them raid timered is a full time job.
On a different topic, last night I ran a shroud, approx 50 active players in group online and another 25 or so ungrouped out of quests.
Part 4 of shroud we got lag and wiped.
Why? DPS lag? You know that feeling when the party is stacked with 2twf ranger/barb Min 2 greensteel massive DPS juggernauts.
There was 5 LFM's at the time constituting about 4-5 active grouped players per lfm not in quests zerging and causing all this purported lag. So lets say 50% of the active players not in quests, but the lag tanking Harry in Part 4 was present. Why?
I would suggest that lag in the shroud is caused by budget game servers. Yup thats it folks. Economics. Turbine needs to be profitable. Cheap game servers with poor negotiated contracts cause lag. Its not zerging, its not massive population base dragging mobs through quests, its economic decisions by the peeps who have a license to administer the game.
Peace and time for bed.
