Default I Challenge the Uber-Meek of Ghallanda Server

(If any are still playing after all the whining about everything and it's brother since between then and now....and likely continuing until whenever whoever does whatever so whichever can come out and do its' something...Do0M1! my a$#)

PUG quality is not the issue...the issue is the complacency of those that Can & Should but DON'T...
The quality of PUG groups has never been anything other than what it is now...what is lacking are experienced players that have the mindset of leading a PUG group just to pass on the enjoyment of DDO to someone who doesn't know how good it can be.
I am not trying to incite Honduras...nor a Persian revolution...not even trying to discourage the Blahs...

I just believe Ghallanda server has better...is better...and can be better than to have a post like a recent OP.

Recent threads asked to single out for comparison Ghallanda's best with the same motive as I am challenging here...because some of us are tired, bored and would appreciate you PICKIN' It Up Instead of Pickin' Ya Nose!

Quit yer Whining, Get off ur backside, Step OUT of your fuzzy slipper zone, don't stuff your drawers with ur guildies...

    AND LEAD!!!!

Dig in and knock one outta here...and post a screenie...hallaleuya and pass the tap

I have a better challenge: Uber-Meek of Ghallanda unite! Get off your duffs and FORM YOUR OWN **** GROUPS!!!

I love helping. We all needed it. But adults learn best by doing, not watching.

I challenge every and all players to LEAD their own groups. Take up the challenge of forming your own raids. Go forward with the knowledge that courage is the ability to recognize fear and step through it. Have faith that you have run something enough to know how to complete it and courageously challenge yourself to muster other players around you using the LFM system.

This is the only way the 'Uber-Meek' (as Guder calls them) will pass on to the next level of game play.

Point being, the quality of PUGS have gone down because people dont listen. When you try to say "Hey, that +3 Anarchaic Bow of PG might not be the best portal beater" or "Hey noobfart...blackscale armor is sooooo 4 mods ago" all you catch is static in the form of "I DO WHAT I WANT...STOP TELLING ME HOW TO PLAY MY TOONS"

If you are inexperianced...fine, I dont know this game 100%

If you dont know what the score is, just ask "what should I be doing" and Ill be happy to tell you. What I cant stand is when when I ask "Is anyone here unfamiliar with a quest" and I get crickets...only to have 3 people get lost and die on the way to hound, rerun to the quest...only to fail because people didnt have any idea whats going on.
    Oh...Bronko...I heart your idea too

In the last week I have heard four or five guild leaders just flat out say they were tired, or bored, or tired of being bored...or worse...'hungry'.
When I eat...I don't lead groups. Kinda hard to chew ona buh`rito and 'splain VoD' in one big breath.

TL DR Version - Do away with group in guild rules first and those who would rather solo than play with a group should get a group for quests so that the community is tighter than ever.....

    correct Gud?

Some of us would love to lead raids and or what ever but real life makes us be quiet. I am just speaking out for those of us that would like to but cant.

I've been lucky. I'm not even close to uber, but I've had the luck of some good PUGs. My guild is small so any of the raid content is PUG. Most of the time, I have been in groups that, once I let them know I'm new, they go out of their way to make sure I know what to do. After a couple of runs I get it down and am a useful, again not uber, member of the group. I have been in groups that have droped me because I do not have GS Weapons or DT armor, but I'd rather not run than have a bad time. This is a game after all. The PUGs have been slim this past 2 weeks but I hope that will turn around when MOD 9 (or whatever) gets released.

My first rule Rtwo is to make certain group member enjoy the quest...ask people to do specific tasks, random generate pertinent coversation and always mention other good players that would be valuable to learn from...

Sorry Rtwo, but you get thrown under the bus by myself and my guildmates ( Zap in particular) more than most...
my apologies for steering noobs towards ya, but I know they will be in good hands!!

I don't know if I'm the best leader. Never really had any PUGs compliment my leadership, then again I'm fairly certain that people know what they're supposed to do when I lead as I say it about as straight forward as possible. Haven't really had any super big issues, but yeah. I usually try to do guildies first and then if we can short it, do it that way. I'm very guilty of keeping to my own little group, but then again I hate failing stuff. Unless there's a large majority of a raid (33%+) that don't know it, I usually expect some completion unless the Lag Monster strikes.

The one thing that usually prevents me from joining PUGs is group expectations. "True Rogue/Cleric/Wizard/Tank/etc needed" and yet there's a splash class with just as good of stats and everything, but they don't get to join. But hey that's the group leader's expectation/wish although some need to learn that splashes can sometimes offer more than pures

My expectations when u join are that u will excel above and beyond most others..no matter the toon build.
All I'm sayin is that when in the situation, I know you take care of business with the best..and being straightfoward about directions and expectations is exactly why and what it takes to lead a group to completion
Don't coddle 'em, don't grease their 'let it slide' bar..and if they can't do what you ask they will most likely speak up

Default I put up an Uber Meek LFM today

    No one joined.

This was during the early afternoon so it could have been a bad time.

I waited about five minutes, with no bites, so I mowed the lawn.

I survived the scary events in 2009, 2010, and 2011. 2011 did not reward those that played by the rules.

Pretty sure I had it listed as Ritual Sacrifice and I DEFINITELY KNOW I did not say 'come show me ur jockeys.' I do not post immature, sophomoric witticisms like that.

I will assume you saw someone else's LFM and you are thinking it was mine.
