The Angry Monk

Hi,

I just came back to the game and have been away for long time and I have been playing around with a windstance/dex focused monk for a week or so and I like it...but I wanted to also try a multi class.

I was thinking of Doing a Monk / Barbarian Combo but I don't know if this will work or the best way to go about it.

For example does Damage Resistance stack between Barb, Monk Earth stance, and warforged armor feats ?

If i fight with just hand wraps and don't go the dex route with two weapon fighting, can I boost strength enough to still do enough damage with this combo in say Sun Stance or Earth Stance with Rage ?

If i do go the dex route, will having a lower dex score because of earth stance hurt my ability to duel wield in combat ?

I have many more questions, but if someone could put me onto a good build path for this concept I would welcome the advice.

P.S last time i played this game was when you could only have 4 enhancements active at a time ^_^ So please feel free to go into complete detail =P

Monks must be lawful, barbarians cannot be lawful. Multiclassing these two classes is impossible.

Monks have to be Lawful.

Is there any other multi class builds i could do with monk to do something other then wind stance dex character ?

I wanted to find a way to build something around earth stance to make it better.

You could try a rouge/monk theif acrobat who focuses on quarter staffs and earth stance for DR. Dwarf might be a good fit for one of these.

Rogue and ranger are both popluar when multi-classing a monk... six levels of ranger get you tempest and of course Rogue levels opens skills like UMD and trap smithing but the SA also add to DPS. Advice is though ... any rogue splashing you start at rogue first to max the skill ranks.

Thus consider your "Angry Monk" to be a "Hunting Monk" or a "Crafty Monk".
