DT Armor Question

OK so I have my DT Armor on my pali:

This is what it currently is:
+3 dex skills
+1 dexterity exceptional stat
Destruction


this is what I would settle for:

Eldritch Rune (any one):

• Greater False Life
• Resistance +5
• Feather Falling

Tempest Rune

• Magma Surge Guard (or any Guard effect from Shroud)
• True Seeing
• Protection +5

Soverign Rune

• Lorriks Champion
• Melodic Guard (chance to Irresistable Dance monster on hit)
• Magma Surge Guard (or any Guard effect from Shroud)
• Maybe Smite

My Plan is to keep rolling the dice until i get one in each of my lists, but I wonder if I should be re-rolling until i get a certain combo like +5 Resistance/+5 Protection/Air guard?

what do you guys think?

What would be good on a pali?

Depends on how much you want to grind it. Personally, I think you method is a good one otherwise you will be running those quests forever and may not ever get exactly what you want.

It all depends on the type of gear your pali is currently wearing.

Eldritch:
+5 resistance: frees up an item slot (cloak for example) and you can make a shroud hp item in it's spot.

All of my characters have this so that they can wear disease(poison) belts/ring of gfl

Tempest:
+5 protection: If you can push your palli to 60 ac with this then it's a good choice.

Otherwise go for a +6 stat or a +1 exceptional stat. For a pali con/cha on the armor are a good choice since you can make a +6 wis shroud item, you'll want levik's bracers (for str) and maybe tumbleweed/spectral gloves (for dex).

Sovereign:
+4 insight or +3 dodge: Again if these can push you to the happy side of the ac barrier then take it.

Levik's: If you can manage to get all 3 pieces, that will give you +5 insight.

Guards: If you pull aggro then guards are a nice bit of extra damage. If you're not getting hit (because your ac is high for example), then don't go this way.


Think of the sovereign rune as a bonus. Aim to get at least the Eldritch rune and if you get motivated grind for the tempest.

Yeah my AC Sucks!!!! about 33.......... I think it's pretty futile to think i could get it to 60 any time soon.

yeah man will do... this is what i m sporting:

Dex 12 base +3 tome = 15
+5 or +6 Dex item (think its 6 though)
Chaos Gaurde Bracers
DT Armor
I have a +5 mithral hvy steel shield but I am TWF spec'd


so, have all i can think of to do.

I do not have a +5 Prot/+5 Resist Item but was thinking about farming eldrich and Tempest for that on my armor (hence the thread). Ring slots are pretty full, one is GFL other is a +6 stat i think.

Just thought I'd point something out...

I thought about feather falling at first ..without realizing that it would be kind of a pain in the butt to have to take my armor off at times like in Coal Chamber when you're falling down the hole..or when you're in Siber Atoll on your way to Reavers Refuge. Just thought id mention that incase you werent thinking of those times . +5 resist would probably be a good way to go.

I see that Soloman offered to help with gear or things later tonight..I can do the same. I have extra stat items, protect, gfl.. etc laying around. Getting a resist and protect item on should help out a lot. Your toon is Kindread correct?

Yup Kindread is my gimp pali that i am addicted too. he rocks!!

What good is ac unless you are using intimidation? Another option I can make is make a set of armor that you are ok with then build a set of armor that you really want.
