I knew someone was going to post this and I know there will be those with snarky comments about both. But remember before anyone does make a nasty comment that both these individuals were human beings. In some ways they touched many and while they were not perfect the loss of their lives are sad.

Yeah ive seen some of the nasty comments about Micheal Jacksons death already which makes me sad because I choose not to remember him by the last few years of his life. I instead will remember him from when I was a little girl seeing the Grammys and him doing the moon walk for the first time ever. Playing my Thriller LP till I wore it out. Having the red jacket from Beat it and wearing one glove. While my mom will remember the little boy she had a crush on with the beautiful voice in the band of brothers known as the Jackson 5.

As to Farrah I remember Charlie's angels and as a little girl pretended more then not to be one of them (was always the brunette tough hehe) So her lose especially to something so painful and slow is saddening. I hope both of their souls are in peace and my condolences to their families.

While I have no problem with Farrah, a bit quirky but in general decent enough, MJ there was creepy as hell. Did a lot for the music industry artistically but even still there is an air of oddity with him that I could never shake.

Trust me I can agree Id never let my son near him and even said that to my family a few times. But instead of remembering the creepy stories the plastic surgeries that turned him into a ghoul like figure. Im gonna remember my child hood and his music which helped shape that. Id like to think when I pass on people will remember the good things I inspired in them instead of the things ive said drunk..

I'm good with crazy & eccentric. None of that was ever even remotely close to an issue for Michael. I'd always just assumed all the "poor health" stuff we'd been reading about for a decade while he was in and out of, er "trouble" was just him being eccentric and emotionally unstable.

Makes you wonder if all the surgeries didn't have a significantly detrimental effect on him. Both were icons of their times...not sure there'd ever be anything negative about Farrah.

So since my laptop is busted and I can't play I am just sitting at Starbucks reading the forums on my iPhone and texting my sister about Jackson passing. Sitting outside smoking and this very attractive woman just got a text about Jackson and annouces it to all of us outside. This starts a 15 minutes long conversation between me and five total strangers about Jackson. It was so surreal.

Funny thing is I never liked his music even when I was young (into Judas Priest, Ozzy, etc in middle school). In spite of that I honor his impact. I challange you to find an artist to come out in the last few years that has had the worldwide cultural impact that Jackson did during his hayday.
