What great loses?

Blowing no less than 3 feats on dragonmarks on an already feat starved class.

6- lesser dm
9 - max
12 - greater dm
15 - empower (no emp healing cost doesn't apply to DMs, can work with BB)
18 - quicken

It does leave the class missing any spell pen feats - but if the character was only building a healbot (not a good choice IMO) - that is arguabbly better than a cleric with the two MT feats and empower healing.

Said before, will say it again - A specialized healing FS will be better at that than cleric. However, as clerics should never be built as a pure healbot, that is fairly irrelevant.

Given that favored souls are supposed to have a superior spell point pool over a standard cleric,
Things I would rather take on a halfling favored soul than dragonmarks:
Spell penetration
Spell focus (to shore up lesser DC's due to splitting casting stats)
Heavy Armor
I havent seen any official info regarding how close ddo FvS is to PnP FvS, but pnp FvS is somewhat geared more toward battlehealing and self/group buffing. Given that, Power attack, improved crit (anything)
Toughness
Tower Shields

I would consider any of those feats a better pick for a class that will supposedly have plenty of SP to burn.
