Default Help with swoard and board fighter

ello, I was curious if I could get some advice on a sword and board fighter.

Race: Human preferred, 28 point only.
    Class: Pure Fighter

I started out with the intent to make a pure S&B fighter, but quickly realized there are not a ton of applicable feats, so I figured I'd aim for a fighter with the option to fight sword and board or two-handed when I need more damage; here is what I came up with:

    Abilities Level 1
    Strength 18
    Dexterity 14
    Constitution 14
    Intelligence 8
    Wisdom 8
    Charisma 8

    Starting Feat/Enhancement
    Base Skills Modified Skills
    Skills (Level 1) (Level 16)
    Balance 2 2
    Bluff -1 -1
    Concentration 2 2
    Diplomacy -1 -1
    Disable Device n/a n/a
    Haggle -1 -1
    Heal -1 -1
    Hide 2 2
    Intimidate 3 18
    Jump 8 24
    Listen -1 -1
    Move Silently 2 2
    Open Lock n/a n/a
    Perform n/a n/a
    Repair -1 -1
    Search -1 -1
    Spot -1 -1
    Swim 4 5
    Tumble n/a n/a
    Use Magic Device n/a n/a

    Level 1 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Human Bonus) Cleave
    Feat: (Selected) Power Attack
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Weapon Focus: Slashing Weapons

    Level 2 (Fighter)
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Two Handed Fighting

    Level 3 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Selected) Toughness

    Level 4 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Great Cleave

    Level 5 (Fighter)

    Level 6 (Fighter)
Feat: (Selected) Improved Two Handed Fighting
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Weapon Specialization: Slashing Weapons

    Level 7 (Fighter)

    Level 8 (Fighter)
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Greater Weapon Focus: Slashing Weapons

    Level 9 (Fighter)
Feat: (Selected) Improved Critical: Slashing Weapons

    Level 10 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Dodge

    Level 11 (Fighter)

    Level 12 (Fighter)
Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Greater Two Handed Fighting
Feat: (Selected) Greater Weapon Specialization: Slashing Weapons

    Level 13 (Fighter)

    Level 14 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Mobility

    Level 15 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Selected) Spring Attack

    Level 16 (Fighter)
    Feat: (Fighter Bonus) Toughness

    Thoughts?

Should I drop dodge/mobility/spring attack for shield mastery, or perhaps 3x more toughness?

Is there any requried feats i am missing for S&B? how should i work them in?

    Are my attributes ok?

Just build a tempest ranger until mod 9 comes out! Then wait and see if Kensai works then try.

I have a very specific reason why I need a fighter that will use a tower shield for a good portion of the time.

Care to share any HELPFUL advice?

    Which is?

I really don't see anything wrong with your build. Most people will tell you that you won't deal too much damage (which is sorta true), but if this is what you want to build, go for it.

Oh, I would consider putting transfering points into Int out of Str, so you can have more than 1 point to put into feats at leveling.

So what exactly do you want High AC intimidate or high DPS?

High AC while still using a shield, as opposed to playing a twf hybrid class.

I don't care if it gets outclassed by TWF chars, I only want it perform well within the restriction of having to use a shield - Of course being able to swap out and over to TWF or THF is ok, as long as I don't lose out on my goal.

Then you'll want at least 13 int in order to get Combat expertise. I built a fighter without the Int for CE and now he's been abandoned. He is relatively sturdy and a great character for getting back into the game but once I got the flow back he was simply mediocre.

Start with a 16 Str, no need to spend all those build points for the 18 when you need to have Int, Con and some dex in your build.

    c'mon now, don't be rude

anyway, i'd try to unlock the 32 pt build before you do this since you probably want a 13 in int so you can unlock combat expertise

are you going for any prestige in particular?
    going for intimitank build?
you also don't want to take more than one toughness unless you really have nothing else better to take
invest a bit into UMD so you can at least throw some wand heal on yourself
PS: Greensteel RUINED the game! and you all know it!
    less buffing, more nerfing!!!
to make it easier for those of you that wants to avoid me in game, all my characters are in "Bladesworn Mercenaries"

I've got a reason that I am legally bound not to disclose, I've even got a little check box I have to check each time I make a post on this forum to remind me.

I am not certain, I haven't looked the prestige enhancements over thoroughly.
    Basically yes.
I was thinking if my int went to 14 id have enough points to max intimidate + UMD each level, and maybe I could work in SF:UMD

That is a great build but a 32 point build. You would have to adjust initial stats to a point you could eat an int tome to get CE.

    Bluff:
You need a 4 Bluff for the Thrall of the Necromancer quest in Delera's Graveyard. (I usually put that much on my melees and then leave it alone)

    Heal:
Can never go wrong with more Heal.

    Intimidate:
    ...obvious

    Haggle:
Help on some of those repair costs

    Jump:
B/c who doesn't like to jump high?

    Swim:
Meh...but I have a ranger with a lot in swim and he swims pretty fast...

    Balance:
Always good to get up fast after a giant/minotaur knocks you down

    Just a few examples.

actually, get your cha to a 10 for no mod and just pick up a bluff item or a deception item would get you through the delara
    it's a 3 you need btw :P

doesn't do anything for repair, does help with buying stuff for a bit cheaper and selling for a bit higher though, only dump in here if you have too much skills to waste as a fighter

this one's iffy, i've heard that your fly speed is dependent on your swim skill o_O

    good to have

i still think it's better to wait for the extra 4 points from 32 point builds before you do this
but anyway, i'm currently playing this intimitank build, quite fun, but watch for those magics!
