shield bash feat help

what does shield bash do for you? and what button is the default to use it?

i see that i have a +10 atk with shield, im assuming this is for shield attack. but what does it do for you? it must be worth it to lose your ac bonus while attacking with it. .

Default is to hold down the shift key while using the attack button. Blocking is done by holding the shift key down.
