Purchasing additional Character Slots !

Hello all

First off .. I have been playing DDO since it came out in Canada 3 years ago.

I have just learned in the last 3 weeks that these Forums here offer a wealth of information ..

I have also recently just found out that " for a fee " of course I can pay Turbine to change a toons name .. and there are a few other things you can have done " for a fee "

Now what I am wondering ..... Can additional toon slots be purchased through Turbine ? I have 10 toons now ranging from 3rd to 16th lvl.

I gotta be honest ... I like how the builds are going and I dont wanna delete anyone anymore .... BUT I could use 3 or 4 more spots lol !!

So ya with that said ..... Can additional character slots be purchased currently ?

No, not currently... but "later this summer" when Eberron Unlimited gets released you can.

and you won't have to pay for them either if you are already a paying subscriber you'll get a monthly allotment of turbine points to spend as you see fit.

However as a VIP will the toons I purchase be limited or will I have "all access" with the purchased toon ?

I am guessing that because it is purchased under my account .... The new toon would have access to everything as my other toons do, BUT ya never know

As a VIP all your characters maintain VIP status, regardless of how many extra slots you purchase.

pretty sure it's all access. Anything you can do with a slot currently will be available to a new slot purchased in DDO EU ie 32pt builds, drow, monks!

Yes, Flatware, I was incorrect in one of my early posts and all VIP accounts will be current to one's current capacity one enjoys at the inception of Mod 9. Anything after that however needs be earned, just like before, and any account without, say drow or 32-pt builds, will still have to earn or purchase those with Turbine Points.

In some way, you can "buy" additionnal slots right now, but you have to work for it.

First step, you need to unlock 32pts on another server, and there's 2 ways to do it:

You start from scratch on another server up to 1750 favor.

OR

You pay to transfer one of your characters with 1750 favor to another server, then once you talked with Nyx, that new server is now flagged for 32pts builds.

Second step, you create a new character on the new server (a 32pts of course) and request for a transfer for that character to Khyber. This will take 2 weeks.

After these two steps, you now have a "new" character slot, just redo step 2 as many times you want but remember you have to pay for every character transfer and the transferring process is 2 weeks for one character. Also, if you transferred a character to the other server, you might want to bring him back here, you need to wait 45 days before requesting a transfer for that character, and even if you transfered it back, the other server will still be flagged for 32pts builds.

I have ( 1 ) toon with 1750 favor and thats my only 28 point build left ( Damiya )

I have no desire to do the favor grind on my other 9 toons. Some are close now BUT when they get there ...... they get there ! I am not gonna go outta my way for favor.

Also, I have no desire to swap servers. I have been fortunate enough to meet ALOT of really cool people here in the last 3 years, and "yes" I am sure that there are LOTS of nice people on other servers but for now, I think I am gonna stay here

I do have "copies" of my main toons already on 2 other servers ( reservinng names I guess ) BUT I only run em when Khyber is down !

I really was just looking to purchase more slots for Khyber. This woud be more cost effective than bouncing toons around the Galaxy ( One would hope )
