Default Man Alley is too uber

Just saw an LFM by a dude that is too cool. I won't disclose his name but it's right down an alley (you pick the right lane there could be a wrong turn). Two nights in a row his LFM has been experienced only or VIP. This time it was for shroud. Not only was his experienced only LFM so uber. It was so uber he couldn't reply. The funny thing was 15 minutes later with 1 spot to fill he was still in LFM mode. Man that last spot must have been saved for the most uber person on DDO. I just wish I was good enough to meet up to his standards.

Dude I bow down to you and I wish I could be half the uber DDO geek that you are. My life is so not worthy because I'm not the uber GEEK in DDO that you are.

Please tell me what I have to do to be so good at this game that I'm a total DDO geek and can meet your standards or be worthy of a reply. Does it require becoming a geek in real life? Or doing nothing but playing DDO so I can be a lame loser that can't function in the real world?

If so I can do that. I'll give up all real world functions. I'll stop running and lifting 4X a week, I'll give up fun time with the Beergirl, heck I'll even quit my job. Just tell me what I have to do to be a VIP or be worthy of at least a return reply from one of my tells before I join one of your LFMs

    Edit

Wow 30 minutes later his LFM is still up looking for that last spot. The last very best uber plar on Khyber. Good luck BRO I hope you fill that spot so you can complete that Shroud.

Yes it will be locked and yes it is a game. But it goes back to my post 2 weeks ago about the I'm tired of exp only LFMs. That will give you my true point of view. Trust me if I really wanted to do someting as far as questing. I'd go run for Bloodstones. Nothing going on and I was bored. It was this or run for Bloodstones

Dis - A little while ago we were running Enter The Kobold, had lfm up that we had alredy started. A certain character, whose name rhymes with a type of cat joins group.

Cat: I don't know where the quest is.
Me: No worries! (Recall, recall again to RR)
Me: Follow me. (We run through the new area, while I brief this Cat on the quest.)

We then enter, and the group briefs Cat on buffs needed, etc, etc, as he asks for info. He gets lost at one point, but no biggie, I go back for him.

Halfway through the quest I ask if this is the same Cat who has been away for a while, but used to always put up LFMs for experienced only!! Uber l33t sauce guys here!! etc. No answer. A bit more ribbing ensues, with no response from the Cat.

End quest, recall, and I say he should remember in future that even he had to learn quests at some point. A mumbled comment about Vent, and that was that.

Guess he found his feet, a likeminded guild, and went back to being uber leet sauce. Just goes to show, sometimes I DO waste my time teaching people.

Sometimes it's a waste of time. But more times than not, the time we spend helping others pays off in the future.

Agreed, I'll just never be helping that particular Cat again. His experienced only lfms are back on every run he does.

Make your own group Disavowed no? I agree the person is probably an A.H. but on the other hand One must learn to ignore these things in a MMO/On-Line, in my opinion. Not everyone thinks or has same view, morale or respect for other people as say you and I do, and those are some people I tend to ignore. Its easy to post and say what ever you want on line because there is no repercussion,no face value to it. Very easy to brush people off or disrespect them when there not standing in front of you.

As you know I am against experienced only LFMs.

So I think I have found a solution.

I earlier thought that I could put no gimps in the LFM, but that won't work because I'm a gimp; a gimp, not a hypocrite.

So this is what I came up with:

Shroud M/A as fast as we can while looting, no beerman. Beergrrl OK.

Since there's only one gimp I don't wannt play with, I figured I'd be specific!

Just to mention coming from someone who was in the run referred to, people in the whole party were getting tells to join the group but we had already started part 1 and weren't able to bring in others. The LFM was bugged so the leader couldn't bring it down and was afk for the first portion.

So its not really something to take to heart, with so many toons you can't really a noob.

Default Superman /r fixes that problem

A simple /r could have fixed that, or simply change the LFM saying in and bugged. You're right I'm not a noob. I only pug, and 95% of the groups I'm in, I start. So I do know that when an LFM is bugged you can still change the message.

Not to mention all the elitist EXP only LFMs that this peron constantly puts up. Combine that with what I stated earlier and it would seem that it's a legit gripe.

I never decline someone from joining my groups. Even when multiple people hit join at the same time. I take the first one on the list for the last spot. I then will send each one of the people that didn't get in the group a tell and let them know that someone hit join just before them.

So a simple /r if it was bugged (I have no reason not to believe you) or changing the LFM might have gone a long way. In helping to improve a rapidly declining reputation that this person seems to be getting.

Again, as I always say, it's just a game. Those of us that play this game truly are bonified geeks in the eyes of the real world. So folks on here need to stop being so proud of how uber they are. Nothing proud about being the uber geek of the geeks.

Gee willikers, this bad bugged LFM system is to blame, bad turbine, bad naughty turbine. That must have been the same LFM problem for the full Ascension Chamber LFM that seemed to stay up forever last night. I did send a tell to the party leader who didn't reply so his LFM must have been bugged too... Bad naughty zoot.. er.. Turbine.
