    Another thread with illusion spells that would be useful in DDO would be this thread.

    Hey Asp.

    Instead of adding a Separate Pool of SP...

    Why not just reduce Metamagic Costs (or even the spell costs themselves) of the Associated School of Magic.

    For the Metamagic Variant -1 per effective Metamagic Spell Level

    Extend is +1 Spell Level so = -1 SP with that School
    Maximize is a +3 Spell Level so = -3 SP with that school

    alternately you could just have spells themselves cost slightly less.

    -1 per spell level
    10=9
    15=13
    20=17
    25=21
    30=25
    35=29
    40=33
    45=37
    50=41

    or maybe just a flat -5 sp so the progression is 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45...

    or some variation of that.

    It might be easier to do.

    Rule 1: Don't sweat the small stuff
    Rule 2: Its all small stuff
    Rule 3: People are stupid. You, me everyone... expect it
    more rules to come in a different sig

    Well, this is how they should do it:

    The specialist wizard chooses two schools of magic, he cannot cast spells from these schools. This includes scrolls, wands, or memorization. In return the specialist wizard gains a second spell point pool reserved for spells from the specialist school. The primary spell point pool stays the same size, the specialist pool serves as the "bonus spell slot" for each level that a specialist wizard gains for specializing. As the wizard casts spells from that school, the dedicated pool subtracts their cost until exhausted. Once gone, the costs for all spells are taken from the primary spell point pool. All spells not from the specialized school are always taken from the primary pool.

    Due to our extremely limited spell selection, outlined by barabel below, we should probably only have to ban one school of magic instead of two.

    Simple.
    Think we should ban two schools
    But the sugestion is good

    Aesop is not as exact as Aspenor.
    As the benifit could can be more then Aspenors. (if you only use one school)
