and if you have any suggestions of loot to be looking for pls share your knowledge.

Hey Des, while you are grinding for Blue Scales (as any good caster should be), try the Elf Relic robe, it's not Greater Arcane Lore, it's only Arcane Lore, but it is available at level 10, so it's worth the 20 Elf Relics.

I have that for trade: (drops in Wiz King)
Spectacles of Spirit Sight - (Goggles) Enchanted Focus, Necromancy Focus (Treasure Room Chest) lvl 11 min
or I have some dual focus bracers will have to dig a bit.

suggestion: focus items are only good til you get your Napkin (+1 to all spell DCs) from the reaver raid.

potency, get a sup potency VI one hander at the broker in house D and you re set, no point in upgrading for greater potency VII (yet), since the only spell that benefits from that upgrade will be delayed blast fireball and many others will see their damage decreased by 10% (firewall, scorching ray, fireball, cone of cold.....)
