hehe, I enjoy PvPing with friends from time to time, I know several people that do it much more than I, and if you've ever really gotten into pvp you'd notice there is a sort of "code" that most people go by when it comes to an "honest" fight.

that "honest" fight code is very stupid, the only time you'll ever have an "honest" fight is if you make sure both players have same gears
grind gears automatically make the fight not fair
greensteel, stats damagers makes the fight "not fair"
if "uber" gears makes "fair" fights, then all spells are fair game =_=

I've seen it both ways. I've capped 4 Wiz/Rog's. If were in a quest and there is a 'pure' rogue in the party I let them get the traps. Now if they keep running past the traps because they are too busy, sorry I'm an XP *****. I disable them.

If the rouge searches and searches and searches and fails to find the traps THEN i'll step up and do the job for them.

I've been berated several times for disabling a trap when there was a 'pure' rogue in the quest. A 'pure' can do traps better somehow...../shrugs.

Then the fallicy of rogues that state "Oh, I blew that trap just because I rolled a 1." mentality.....Grrr....

Don't need evasion for the traps there, tougher without yes. But can be done, to lazy to look for it, but someone posted a youtube video of it in past.

Do not agree with the dispelling of there buffs. But the rogue was a tard also, who cares who disables it if it is done. If I see someone else searching/disabling a trap I let them. Gets quest done faster also if you have 2 doing traps. Plus to be honest Id rather let some other tard do the traps, allows me to zerg past trap :P

Yup, I did VON 5 when it came out and the cap was still 10. My 9 Wiz/1 Rog could do it. Just needed jump + haste and some very good landing skills There are several safe spots on the blade/elec trap.

Some traps can't be twitched though and for those you need the extra hp + stoneskin etc.

@ the OP. Funny. Cool. You rock. You da big man. But, if you were in my party.. I would have requested the entire party recall and made you solo the rest. And then you could attempt to dispell all those mobs running at you right before I recall. Good day!

I think one of the ways we all can deal with this is "communication" and another is "respect".

Communicate with people who may be geared to do the same job as you, and talk about who should do what. One person finding the traps, and letting the other person disable them is a fine alternative, and you are working together as a team.

Respect another rogue enough to let them disable the trap they have found, unless you have communicated with them first. Dispelling someones haste is not needed, and harms the whole party, not just the individual dispelled.

You, personally, do not exclusivly get more exp because you killed more monsters, or you solved more traps....the whole team does.

Exactly my point. I found the traps... he hovered around while I searched and then disabled them before I could do it. I'm pretty over it, but I'm glad you said that. At least at low levels, wiz/rog is likely to be a better trapgetter than a pure rog, simply because a pure rog will put more into dex/str, while a wiz/rog will likely max out INT, the primary stat for search/disable. I just thought it was a funny story, and I know I'm a jerk for dispelling the guy's haste.

@ Leslie West, Guitar God: I guess in that hypothetical, I'd hypno/web/charm everything I saw and recall myself and just find another party. The HORROR!!!!1!

Seriously, though, I knew I was a jerk, which is why I plainly stated that in my first post. I thought it was a funny story though and thought I'd share it. Apparently, it wasn't funny for everyone, so sorry for getting you all riled up.
