what an arse, why would u post this? one thing i really enjoy about this game is the lack of children, maybe time for u to find a new game. something closer to ur maturity level.

He was countertrolling. I get it.

That's a pretty high CON... there are a lot of builds that won't make that.

    Back to the topic:
As for him getting traps, it was just annoying how, in an area with 8 traps, he chose to wait by me as I searched for each one then jump out and disable. We could have just saved time by him taking the ones I wasn't... As for each playing their role... that's great, but rogues in my experience tend to be the most varied and oft-fubar'd builds. Not because they aren't useful, but the custom builds are complex and numerous and some don't really do traps well (assassin builds anybody?) If you follow your shallow paradigm of roles, the party gets hurt.

You search, him disable = you search + disable, he search + disable...heck, even faster if one searches and reveals multiples, then both disable once everything is revealed.

Yeap. Only way to get rid of that dam camo spell that rangers love to throw. Besides stepping out of the quest of course.

Maybe the rogue thought you were trying to work in tandem with him. In some quests 2 trapbuster types can get the trap work done super fast. (ex. VoN5, Monastery of the Scorpion, etc.)
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.

Each trapgetter doing a different trap would have been faster. Not that efficiency matters that much. I just wanted to get some traps since I have the skills.

As for one less hasted person... I was just mad. The dispell was a wand, so just some lost gp, not sp.

Look, dude, you asked the question, plenty of people have chimed in.

What do you want to hear? "No, you weren't a jerk; the other guy was a complete ****!"

Fine: "No, you weren't a jerk, the other guy was a complete ****!"

I'm not rying to diss ya .... I see the 8 posts ...you are talking about a lvl 8 toon I firgue your new ...maybe your not .....but getting upset casue someone w/ a rogue icon was taking down the traps befor eyou on your wiz icon is a bit silly ...hey maybe he like you is new or new the rogue class and want to see how well he can do ?

that con isn't too high btw the least con I'd start w/ on a wiz or sorc is 13

    13 + +6 item =19 + +3 tome = 22 con + 2 exceptional bonus (shroud or dt item) 24 con if you were a wf or dwarf you could get to 26 w/ a +2 enhancemnet binus for a few ap's

notice I said 13 is the lowest con I'd start with

honestly you need to try to have atleast 250 hp as a caster IMO you get get away w/ a little less if you can self heal
I've been here for quite awhile.

    Default I'm a lazy rogue

Man, anytime some wizard wants to find/disable the traps, its A-OK with me!

But seriously, that same thing happened to me the other night, I was running around in a group, and the wizard kept hitting me with his extended 3 minute hastes over top my own mini hastes. I was all like, *** man, can't you see I already hasted us? How rude!

Our general rule of thumb is while in Pugs we let the person with the SYMBOL do their JOB. If we are all running together with friends or guild we might ask who has the better number to do it. I'm currently building a bard rogue and her numbers are awesome. She is a ROGUE not a bard but since she is splashed I let the person with the rogue symbol do the traps and such when in pug groups.

And the haste/dispell thing well admit you are a (your words here)
.............. seems nothing is safe .....................

Don't need evasion for the traps there, tougher without yes. But can be done, to lazy to look for it, but someone posted a youtube video of it in past.

    ----

Do not agree with the dispelling of there buffs. But the rogue was a tard also, who cares who disables it if it is done. If I see someone else searching/disabling a trap I let them. Gets quest done faster also if you have 2 doing traps. Plus to be honest Id rather let some other tard do the traps, allows me to zerg past trap :P

What are you trying to say by this? That drow casters are gimp? My drow sorc has over 300 hp (Once i run shroud and finish tier 3) has higher DC's than WF due to higher charisma, and is self healing by heal scrolls (I only fail on a 1) I'm sorry, but you are not god and better than half the server. Yeah, I know you asked the question because you wanted everyone to say "no man, that rogue was totally out of line", and you've been getting people saying "no dude, you ARE a jerk", but I have to agree. You were the jerk in this case. Not ONLY did you treat someone on your team like trash, by dispelling him, but then you called him out? I just hope it was a tell and not over voice chat.

And here is hoping you didn't dispell P buffs with that little trick of yours, because then you literally wasted that guys money.

Ugh, the whole thing is just silly.

    Wrong.
You are under the effect of a Fallacy.
Everybody will use this things to help with their inherently low HP. --> You are still behind.

For example you cant compensate the spell pen reduction of taking 2 level of Rogue on your Wiz by taking the feat Spell Penetration. Because also the pure Wiz will take this feat.

    Yes, you are.

Perhaps the rogue was a "traps-only" gimp Rogue. 100% superfluous once you joined the party.

But we will never know. But what we definetly know is that the OP was a jerk.

The OP would land on my "friends-list" for group sabotage.

The rogue maybe, if he had like 8 kills at the end of the quest. Because of incompetence. If you play a rogue and cant bring DPS, you are a gimp. Please spread your incompetence elsewhere.

I am so fed up with rogues who only can deal with traps and contribute nothing else to the groups success. Closely followed by those "i use my bow 100 percent of the time"-Rangers.

My tempest evasion barbarian also has around 34 fully buffed as well....Sure it is possible, but not expected.

I think my argument was you implied that its insane to expect those numbers unless they are dex based. Or am I just not understanding this dialogue.

Maybe he didn't know where all the boxes were. He was probably just trying to help you out man, probably just trying to be nice and do the disabling part, so you could move on to more important things. I know where you're coming from but you gotta cut some ppl some slack sometimes in a public game.
