    Default Why can't......

Ok, I have been PuGing a lot lately and seeing Pallys, Rangers, and Bards not wand whipping them self out of combat. I'm not talking about the troll's on the forums that said " I always bring wands or pots". I mean like, the players that take 6 lvl's of rangers for twf because he read it on the forums and think wands are picking there noses( or poking the dead Clr. with). Then these players blame the clr. for not topping them off while they go "afk" or something. I've told them they can use wands but I'm told "they don't have the time and/or the money to buy them". Is anyone else seeing this happen too??? Or is it I'm just running in to the noobs at lvl 6-12??? Remember I'm not saying all players are this way but I'm seeing it more and more now.
Now a "WF" that dose take a caster lvl has never said anything about not useing a wand. Even the 6 ranger/ 8 tank will still use cure wands on him self.

    So sad but true.

The reason players do that is because others let them get away with it. I'll heal someone as best I can in combat, but outside, it is up to them. Now, I will help out new players, but I usually do that by making sure they have a wand and/or pots to use on themselves, not by babysitting them. It is never to early to learn to start taking care of yourself.

    op i feel your pain.

I am in the process of leveling a new BC and have in my bio:
NOT UR HEALER be self sufficient.
I also have put it in lfm as well . none listen and are suprised when they don't get heals ?

if i am not beating on somthing i will gladly toss a heal but at lower level pots/wands can take care of most things.

my fav is when peeps scream for restore/curse removal// poison. I tell em where to buy the pots and leave it at that.

    maybe somday.............

I want to know why a cleric with 25% of his spell points left shrines while watching rangers, bards, and rogues wand whip themselves back to full health.

I was in a PUG where the ranger was berating the paladin for not using cure wands. When I reminded him that rangers also can use cure wands, he mumbled something about having run out.

I also tend to use pots for self-healing so as to not need to toggle CE back on. However, in between fights it's not a problem... and scrolls are better than wands
