Default Head Count for Mod 9 wait

In the last 2-4 months of this Mod 9 delay I have lost near 1/2 to 3/4th's of my guild. Some have said they might return "if" Mod 9 returns, others have simply given up despite any positive spin I have given them to address their concerns. There are a few others not too far behind the ones who left already. There is not much of anything I can think of to convince them to hold on just a little longer.

So my question out there to all guilds, mostly guild leaders or officers, what is the head count of your guild %-wise as of the last few months? This not a dooooom thread, this is a serious assement of what we are really looking at with our loses as individual guild memebers dropping. Please be honest in any numbers or %, it will help to gauge this better if anyone is going to respond to this.

As it stands now for me as a guild leader of a guild I made the first month of playing, 3+ years of having my guild is looking like I will have to disband and ask my guild to either join me by merging with a bigger guild or go their own way for a guild of their choice. I do not know what to do about this, I do not want to abandon my guild that I created because of...."this" Mod 9 problem.

Not a guild leader but an officer.

In my guild on Ghallanda i'd say there are 5 active players left from about 16 hardcores with the majority of those who have left being bitter towards turbine for the handling of mod9

on argo the guild has 8-12 active memebers (nightly players) down from 20-25ish with most bored from the wait for mod9..some bitterness towards turbine

    Not good Q.

PWNY is doing better than either of the other guilds that I hold officership in, but even we have suffered loss.

I will not give numbers here. That is a job for guild leaders, IMHO

I hold out hope that some will return with Mod 9s release ( assuming any of us are still here ), but I know better than to expect even half of them back.

Medium size guild on Ghalanda where any given night would have between 7 to 15 players on from 7pm to 2am. The most I've seen is three in the last couple weeks.

My sub is up in 12 days, I'm not renewing until mod 9 at which time I'll read input before deciding to re-up.

I feel no loyalty anymore twoards the game. This lack of...anything is total BS.

I know, I am feeling the pinch on my guild members all leaving as well. No, don't need exact numbers but a good estimate on %-wise is ok.

A few of mine I know will probably never be coming back. Just...depressing.

We've lost some, gained some, and are holding steady with about 10-14 steady players and 20 or so casual gamers in the main guild I run with. Some of the new folks are quite skilled.

In the other guild I tend to mentor(I stick around for this mainly), there are between 30 and 50 active members with I don't know how many casuals.

The game is barely hanging on, but it is indeed hanging on.

I don't log in a whole lot, since graduation is next week for my high school and I've got finals/the graduation to worry about, but judging by forum participation for our guild, we're still going at 100%, if not actually a little higher since one person returned -- at least to roleplay a little more.

I'm not entirely sure that's accurate though. I do know that I haven't seen anyone talk about leaving or anything, on the other hand.

Waaaaay down. I would say 90%. There are only 3-4 people left who log in anymore and I haven't done so in 3 days. Mod 9 delay is the reason everyone bolted. The problem is that gamers like to game. So, if they are not playing DDO, they are playing something. And that something may become the replacement for DDO if it hasn't happened already.

My Guild is holding at a steady 7. It was 7 when I created it on the 3rd day of release and it is still 7. Of coarse the guild consist of just my RW friends that play the game. I have other characters in other guilds (5 guilds) and they are all way down on attendance, (I came back to the game 2 months ago after being away for a year.) I also made a new character and joined another guild and they tell me that thier membership went down from 123 to 20. On the up side I logged into LOTR (I have a life time sub) this weekend and the 4 guilds I'm on there doulbed (one even tripped) in size since I last logged in 6 months ago. DDO is looking bleak these days.

    Default Proud Officer

I am a very proud Officer of New Outriders. I can honestly say that we have not really lost any players in our guild. We got a couple that are not logging in as much as they used to, but no cancelled accounts that I know of. Most of our guild consists of players that are very casual. We got a couple of "hardcore" gamers, but for the most part we are still having too much fun making loot runs looking for rare drops. We as a guild do not like spending 100,000 plat or more for any given item, we find it a waste of money and we can have fun just making the loot runs ourselves. But, I have seen a server wide drop in population over the past month. We are waiting on MOD 9, but we have also come to the conclusion that it will get here when it gets here.

We had a small static group on Ghallanda. Just 4 of us running arround and having a blast. Now it's down to just 2 of us. The other two were bored of the lack of new content and have moved on. I now mainly PUG exclusivly.

I'm going to hang on till Mod 9 comes. I enjoy the game, it gets me away for the stress and reality of life for a couple hours a night.

Between the 2 guilds I'm in, I've seen 2 players say they are taking a break until Mod 9 (a couple of others are on break because they are moving), at the same time I've also seen 7 new players added between both guilds, most of whom have only been playing for about a month. Net gain of +5. I could be wrong here but this doesn't seem like a dying game to me.

I've also seen a lot of LFM's on Thelanis, even on weeknights. Mostly low and mid level stuff.. Kinda refreshing after seeing nothing but Shrouds for the last few months.

Pffft....We are on an IV drip...most are gone....like 90%....BG just left and I am prolly not far behind as most of the people I play with don't even log on anymore.

    Unhappy

Lost some - gained some, same as always, but we are now struggling to fill up raids with guildies of all the right levels/classes/mix on occasion.

That's not really the worrisome part for me so much as the just overall animosity that Turbine has garnered at this point. We've never experienced so much raw emotion against the game and the way things are being handled. Even with the fresh players, they pick up on the vibe and see this all heading nowhere fast.

Outside guild, it's really rough finding a group, let alone one of the stellar groups that used to be available seemingly 24/7.

Have we started the death spiral, or will all of this go away with mod9 and whatever announcements we're waiting on? That's the real question.

Medium sized guild on G. We schedule raids and events internally and have 6-12 show up, but we have 50-75% waiting on the mod. We filled a guild only Hound raid just last week. I haven't heard of any guildies quitting DDO for something else however, just playing other games until it launches.

Valiant Accord has about 25-35 players normally.

I'm logging in about once every other week to run a raid, or do something with the guild, but not much else.

I'm an officer in Eutopia and we've added quite a few hardcore gamers in the last few months, mostly people from the Souls of the Night which I believe disbanded. Either way unless guildies are grabbed up quick when they log on and we try to get something going instantly it seems like people log off fairly quickly or take extended afk's. Also, quite a few old regulars havent logged on for weeks which is sad. WE MISS ILLUM!

Was just thinking about this very topic last night. My guild is down about 50% from the mod 8 release. At the time of mod 8 we had 26 very active guild members. We are now down to 12 actives. The majority of these lost guildmates have left over the course of the last 2 months due to the myth that is mod 9.

Of the 12 actives, their playing time has gone down significantly over the past few weeks and keeps shrinking. Partly due to the nice weather, mostly due to boredom.

We have not had anyone actually leave the game, but we have a few that have gone from 5+ hours a night to maybe 1-2 hours once or twice a week. That is starting to seem typical between friends also.

Why do you feel you have to disband the guild? Do you have at least 6 to 12 people? If so then attempt to recruit more. If you need to merge then merge but there still are a lot of guildless people out there.
