If you are planning on opening an LFM for Madstone, and then planning on contributing nothing to the success of the party, and then planning on dying enough times so the party is more used to not seeing you with them than they are to actually seeing you alive, and then your soulstone bugs so whoever was kind enough to grab it for you can't get you inside a cave to shrine, and you plan on recalling without so much as telling anyone (in voice or party chat), and the party loots a chest, keep your mouth shut about not getting any loot. How would the party know that you recalled if you didn't tell them? Once a quests is started, most of us don't count blue dots on the map to see if everyone is still in the instance.
We don't mind you piking: you might be several levels below the quest level so ur not expected to do much and we're more than happy to help you level.
We don't mind buffing you and recieving nothing in return: Spell Points are free, after all.
We don't mind you dying: We're more than capable of handling the quest on our own (although without a cleric, we won't be able to heal you much).
We don't mind making a special trip to a shrine to rez you: This game is about team-work.
And really, we don't mind waiting to open a chest until you are back in the instance (I could have a bio, or get a drink, or have a smoke etc.. while we wait - no biggie). But if we don't know you have left the instance, we don't know to wait. So please, save your drama-queen comments if you miss a chest because you failed to communicate with the group. And if you think that dropping group after missing the chest would be anyone's loss but your own, you're wrong. I would certainly not be in favor of having you re-join after such an outburst, although if I don't have the star, there's not much I can do.
Again, this is all purely hyopthetical...
