misery's peak - cannot repeat and get reward

I did the Misery's Peak quest and got the reward. Of course being a returning player from years ago, I did not know what the heck a "set Item" was an did not do my Due Diligence and look on line for spoilers like is guess I should have.

Now I cannot get the reward for doing this quest over. I did the quest; talked to the harbor guy but he did not have a reward; I spoke to the captain and first mate in harbor with no reward; I went back and spoke with the original quest giver and got the quest again; I deleted the quest and redid it - all with not reward for redoing it.

Is this a one time reward quest?

Yes it is one time only - I also didn't collect the right set the first time I went through....

yup, one time reward only =)
or else a lot of us would grab a couple sets for situational purposes xD

OP, are you saying you didn't get the matching set piece as your Misery's Peak reward which goes with your Sacrifices reward? If that is the case, then the only way to get a set is to re-do Sacrifices and get the set piece which goes with the one you selected as your reward for Misery's Peak (and of course you might have to settle for a set you didn't really want). There's no way that I have ever seen (as others have pointed out) to get a second end reward from Misery's Peak.

Hmmm. I thought you could do it over since you can do the other quest that gives the other piece.

Since this is the zone for new players, perhaps they should have pop-up that tell you what a "Set Item" is, and another pop-up that says "even though you can do this quest on solo, normal, hard, and elite, you only get one reward the first time you do the quest"

because If someone does the quest that the mayor gives and you get 3 or 4 "Set Items" you might assume that you can get the other parts of the set from the other quest.

again, I am a little put-off by having done and experimented with many things before getting frustrated to the point that I have to come to the forum for answers.

Not very new-player friendly (even though I played several years ago and have just re-activated my account, I think of myself as new-again [you would too if you had to depend on my cleric for healing])

hm.... not too familiar with pop-up tips since i disable them as soon as i make my toon (they're close to useless to me xD)
as for set items, i think the item info explains that if you have both items you get the bonus
and the thing about only able to get the reward once, it could be confusing for newbies i suppose, but i think that's the only one in the game that you can only get the reward once?? O_o
