    Default Xorian Turning Trick

OK, I know no one believes this but:

In the room in Xorian with the stairs to the left, and the transparent bridge on the second floor, there is a trick to it.

Run straight into the room to the altar. Drag everything there.

Have a cleric jump on top of the altar.

When everything is around you, the cleric does turn undead. No matter how bad your cleric is at turning, it kills it. All of it.

I've seen it done. It sounds like BS, and I thought so too. Try it.

For those that post below saying this is wrong, please comment on whether you tried it or not.

    Cheers,

Yea its a cool trick I just recently learned about also.

Basicly you cleanse the altar - it's a quest feature. Once the altar is cleansed it shoots out a burst of holy energy that instantly destorys all nearby undead.

So its not that your turning all the undead, you turn the altar and it kills the undead.

May be similar altars throughout the game. I know there are some around that look the same so give it a shot clerics.

Isn't there also something like that with the fountain in "And the Dead Shall Rise"?

    Aelvara - Bagel - Bagelbot - Daarna - Kraldor - Minibagel - Uberlute - Wounder

    This works for paladins, too

there is a turning check to cleanse thealtar but its a pretty easy one; anyone doing the quest even at-level won't fail (if you piked a lv 1 through they might fail though)

Valak's Mausoleum also has two of these types of cleansing alters as well, just to point out.

Yes, leveling my paladin i found MANY such altars in various quests.
So, if you see an altar and some undead, go for it.

(DMText): The altar has been cleansed by holy force.

    All the stuff died. Confirmed.

Kinda, but not quite the same. Using Turn Undead near the fountain creates some gems that you can use at each altar along the way up. Doing so prevents respawns, or something along those lines.

All done with Completionist (again) and Epic Completionist. First character to 30 on Sarlona* (before the rollback).

I used to love doing this trick on Hordosdotter before I deleted her. Ah...those were the days when the ONLY time my turn undead would work was in XC (my favorite quest btw).

Where were you guys in my Xorian groups? Do you know how much abuse I take when I try to get people to do this?

    it all makes sense now...

You never have turned until you have turned the high priest of vol.

Today's drama is brought to you by the letter A and the word reroll.
