He has more than 400, I count at least 7 separate stacks in 1 inventory slot in his 2nd screenshot! Still though, great job getting that far. Good luck with your next attempt.

I thought the blades were also considered an environmental effect?

The horrid wilting trap too he's standing right next to could have also contributed.

Man you were so close tho, only one more fountain There's very very few people on our server who I think could solo the Shroud and Oddlived is one of them.

I'm intrigued and impressed at the attempt - see it as only of value to say it'd been done, though. I was just thinking about how much of a pain it'd be to do each of the segment 3 puzzles then noticed you'd been burning down the crystals...doh, so simple.

Obviously you should have made it to segment 4 and I assume completed with all those mnemonics to refuel.

Odd always is first.

I have personally seen Odd practically solo part 4 in a horrible Shroud pug group I was in once with him. And that was probably 8 months ago. No question Odd could go all the way.

The wall has a tendancy to skip backwards quite a long way right before it turns corners; people following it too closely (you can see it on your screen) tend to get killed by it

It'll take longer, but you probably dont want to do more than 1 water per go-round of the wall; stay 180 degrees opposite it. Do all 12 puzzles before it comes up, then run the waters one at a time while staying opposite the wall. Getting within 5-6 character lengths of it is almost guaranteed death at a corner.

I don't know whether this character has existed for weeks, months or years. Totally as a guess, I'd expect this to have been created post-Shroud. I view it more like...he's been playing for many months building up to the capability (on this specific character/build) to do stuff like this.

My post was about how it's the entire history of the character, and not merely twitch skill. If you assume it's twitch skill...then you have to assume that anybody on the server could have duplicated getting to segment 3 through a random combination of luck.

By your first statement it seemed like you were indicating that he simply bought all his gear off the AH or from a trade thread. Being as it appears a lot of his gear is either GS or extremely-hard-to-come-by raid loot, I'd say he put a heck of a lot of work into getting this character to this degree of gaming, and I'm pretty sure this character is a good bit older than you give him credit for, because I remember being new to the game last year just after Shroud came out and hearing of Odd's various accomplishments. But he is also an extremely skilled player to get this far, as well as solo VoD and all his other feats. A mediocre player could have all this gear and still get schooled. Oddlived has both the gear and the skill, which is why he garners a lot of respect from the community.
