he said he was not going to melée and mix it up and was looking to run as a support healer. Which would guide los to a high cha high dex spellsinging archer bard. Fortunatly his locked in stats are set for that on the cha side, don't remember his dex. Not picking on you specificly op, my buddy rage did this on a rogue request couple of days ago and let me offer abouth three posts of advice before saying his was level four already with three plus two tomes eaten also!!! Em., miss ya and will be on fir some play time this weekend.

I do not see why it cannot from a buffing perspctive... Thing is you're going to have to think it out well. Feats are going to be rough to fit in what you need verses like to have... ie.) Power attack, weapon focus, IC: xxx ... then extend, heighten, etc... You've 6 feats now and 7 at level 18 be sure to average them out in complementing both areas.

Oh, btw take care of your instrument well... remember to lubricate it's machine heads, I also like to use linseed oil on the neck. Apply moderately in long strokes rubbing the oil in, A soft strum with the right technique may prolong vibration longer then a blunt hard stroke, practice always using both down-strokes and up-strokes, wipe the strings down after every perfomance... and remember every girl(guy) has their guy(girl) but a Lutist has their pick.

The dilemna comes from the trying to be too many things at once.

Warchanter takes 2 feats. Unless you are personally gonna be swinging weapons those feats end up essentially wasted. If you splash (say FTR) to grab the feats, you have also diluted your Bard level, and delayed access to song Enhancements. If you are trying to CC things, your DC will be lower than a pure. The +1 hit, +2 Dam for the melee songs is nice, as is the DR5/- song, but what is your trade off? Have you now not taken things like Toughness?, or Extend? or Mental Toughness? Bards do not get tons of Spell Points so that +100 SP from Spell singer is a real nice bump. The 10% SP redecution for all casters is huge too since it comes with a +1 DC as well. With only needing one Feat, that leaves you more options.

Is the 13 STR a waste, not at all. Can it work, of course. Just have to adjust not only your perspective, but the perspective of those you play with. Most Warchanters are built for mixing it up. Most Spellsingers are built for buffing/CC/support. The handful of Virtuoso's are still looking for a group to play nice with them and let them actually do their thing.

Your build is not broke like others are saying. I have a max charisma human pure warchanter as well. I took weapon focus pierce, power attack, enchantment focus 1 &2, spell pen 1 &2, and extend . When lvl 20(capstone) hits this will be perfect. Havent thought of another feat to choose yet at 18, empower healing, heighten, enlarge?. The real only good bard spell is ottos irresistible you dont even need enchantment focus for this, only spell pen. Devils orthons beholders and even paladins in pvp love dancing to my music. There are only a couple of pure warchanters out there, but dont expect to have a lot of spell points i think im at 1070. Other notable spells good hope ,greater hero, freedom, displace, rage , haste, ottos sphere, glitter dust, mind fog, hold monster, mass cure, dimension door, mass suggest...... I also have maxxed songs duration, damage, attack... Skills balance umd haggle perform diplomacy. I carry like 10 weapons on this bard and just the basics. base 14 str con 18 charisma.

Support role could be kind of boring. I would suggest if you wanna heal go spell singer and get the right feats to be able to heal party without a cleric. I have a bard that can heal better then my cleric and she is one of the most fun charachters to play.I dont see the point in spending so many feats for wachanter if you can't hit at all.
