    It's more futuristic, but 9.99 for crackdown is worth it on newegg and fun.. think GTA where your the cop/superhero..

    Default But most of the shooters

    are made for multiplayer.. front lines fuel of war is a good shooter but not sure if many play.. then there's the ol' Halo 3 multiplayer.. but not my style.. are you looking for multi-player or single player?

    Well if you play DDO, you must have a PC...

    Have you tried the Battlefield series? Battlfield 2 is modern combat, Battlefield 2142 is "futurized" combat (basically the same as modern combat with jetpacks and individual stealth technology)

    war-rock (pc) is a nice free to play shooter w/ progression. I suck at it and get killed repeatedly.
