    Default The BIGGEST thing you would add/change about the game.

    We would all love it if the game were better, that's for sure. It's human nature to want to perfect something for our enjoyment. So I ask you to name one thing you feel would most benefit this game in your eyes. Please don't treat this like complaint thread. I'll go first.

    The lottery aspect of the loot system really gets me down. Why do we have to grind quests for an item we need for our character dozens of times to have a chance? Even though I don't like WoW, I will say this for it, the loot system was good. Even if you have a 1% chance of getting an item you want, the percentage would increase the more you go for it.

    I see positives to that as well. It helps eliminate frustration, and possibly helps new people with AH prices. The auction house is a good concept, but the prices are very high for people still on their first character. I suppose the downside might be that it might make rare loot less valuable for those people who are veterans.

    Make the Monk wis bonus to AC capped based on the number of Monk levels the character has (ie a 14 Ranger/1 Rogue/1 Monk would be able to get +1 wis bonus to AC).

    I'd probably balance the Combat Styles.

    Though I too hate grinding for a single item... or 12 as it may be.

    I'd probably incorporate a Non Grindy sort of Crafting System to help with that. I'd rather just have fun in the quests than feel like I'm beating my head against the wall to get a stupid belt that JUST WON'T DROP

    However, Balanced Combat Styles is still the front of my list

    I don't think I'd do that... but I might make it so that Wis Bonus to AC came at say level 3 or 5

    Overhauled the loot system way way way down so that items only appeared in maybe 2% of chests. Eliminate the whole greensteel mess. Reduce coin loot by 100x.

    Such a system would mean chest loot would still be VERY relevant today, rather than just "oh great a 98k item that will pay for 28% of the next stack of heal scrolls I buy"

    Oh, there is a lot of things I would change.

    I think my #1 would be more stimulating combat experience. Oh, and better balance between builds. I know, that is two.

    Remove the hidden factor from Refuge Runes.

    Makes no sense. The player after having to grind this over and over and over ends up with something decent but not what they were looking for. If they settle then they will have to buy another set to start working on it. If they dont, and they end up swapping it out, there is a good chance they will be regretting it. Ether way it leaves a sour taste in there mouth next time someone wants to run Refuge.

    Sometimes people make groups with 2 - 6 people to run the Refuge. I imagine if when the chest was opened and the Fighter pulled a Greater Spell pen VIII rune he may be more inclined to help the caster out even if he needed a rune.

    The whole "Suprise you got screwed" thing was so last Mod.

    i am disobedient...

    Vague Big Change:
    * Employ comprehensive game design.

    Concrete Big Change:
    * Prohibit nearly all item-transfer between characters.

    Six more less-big changes:
    * Defrontload class features
    * Endgame content floating with level cap
    * Temporary deleveling
    * Character Respec
    * Nerf rednames ("Brutal Resilience")
    * Nerf fortification (and other 100% immunities)

    When I place something in my inventory, such as a weapon, I would like it to go back into that EXACT SPOT when I switch to something different. Clothing and jewelry do it. Why not weapons?

    I would love that. More than I can say.

    Double the size of the game with an evil aligned city, and add massive RvR.

    But I would just settle for a mod sometime this year.

    I understand why you are doing this and I agree it needs to be addressed but I don't like doing this...

    Do you bind on equip would reduce the problem to a more acceptable degree?

    I would implement a non-grind way of getting yourself a meaningfull AC in the endgame.

    To me having to give up 2 item sots, 2 or 3 feats, redistributing build stats and having to grind raids and rare loot droops. Only to get your AC up to where it starts making a difference?

    No, sorry.

    I like nearly all of these, bar the transferring suggestion.

    I understand why yer saying it, but a large part of DDO is also its trade scene. It's as much a part of DDO as running the Shroud or gaining experience.

    Well, it used to be...when random loot was actually worth anything...

    Appearance of stuff would be my change. More customization in characters (Height, Weight/Build, etc.) would probably be first priority. Not over-the-top like Oblivion was, because I don't care that my nose is .3 inches to the right, but something a bit better than what we have now. Maybe seeing a sword or two, and a shield on the back, would be cool. (Not cloaks or boots or anything like that, though.) Some more armor appearances would be nice.

    That's really all I'd want; more varied looks. I think it'd make the game a lot more fun to run around in. Barring that, I guess I would go with something like Warforged Juggernaut, Reforged, Scout, and maybe Artificers; I think Juggernaut was in the notes or mentioned somewhere around here, so that's cool. I'm pumped for that. But I never felt like the Warforged were ever really touched on a lot. With the way you can get a lot of their immunities and such with the hoard of items we all carry, I think they need something to make them stand out more. Whether that's Juggernaut, Reforged, Scout, or Artificers, I think that it'd be nice to see something unique to Eberron get a bit more appeal. (Though I may be biased; I love me some Warforged. :P)
