It would have to be $5/day. The billing costs would skyrocket for Turbine (cheaper to process less low dollar transactions) and since they wouldn't want to make less money they would have to charge more per day just to break even. In the end, your solution would cost everyone more. This of this as a gym membership, you pay by the month in most gyms even if you don't go every day.
So let's see...people complain development is too slow now. If we cut their revenue in half that would do what to the production cycle? That is if it even left them enough revenue to bother to run the game anymore....
Honestly folks, this is a business, not a charity. If you want them to stay in business they need to keep charging reasonable fees, either as a monthly fee or by going to microtransactions.
