Appear offline

Someone told me that you can "hide" yourself from other players. If someone has you on their friends list, you can appear to be offline. Anyone know if this is correct? If so, can anyone share how to do it? Or block players from seeing you?

click the anonymous box in the lfm panel

actually the anonymous just marks you in the who panel as anony, friends will still see you if your online
