Explain to me THACO

Well did i ask a Sabbat ? Tell me what the definition is of your guild name . I know it isnt a firearm projectile like i thought at first glance . Besides as to what i asked i just asked how is it possible for someone to take up space in the LFM perhaps maybe i will start up contests also and give aways and make them first tellers free loot . lol

People have been using the LFM panel for years for things other than questing and to my knowledge no one has ever gotten "in trouble" for it. Is it right? Probably not, but I don't think Turbine or anyone else is going to do anything about it any time soon and, frankly, I see at as a minor annoyance at best.

actually this is somethinbg that if reported and then not fixed can lead to temporary ingame ban. abusing the lfm pannel foe trading purposes. just saying not judging

It is not against the rules to have an event and promote it reasonably through General Chat or the LFM panel. (As long as your event fits under the "We're looking for more players for this event" message.

actually, THACO has been around since 1st edition, but the explanation made it very hard to use. By the time it was explained well enough for people to understand how to make use of the number it was phased out as 3rd edition restructured armor class from small numbers being good to big numbers being good.

before 3rd edition, base ac was 10 and armor and bonuses reduced your ac (Full plate would have been ac 2 instead of ac 18). Thaco was a number that reflected how skilled you were with your weapon, approximately equivilant to your attack bonus now. By starting with your THACO and subtracting what you rolled on a 20 sider, you could calculate what AC you could hit with that attack. If your THACO was 17 and you rolled a 14 you could hit an ac (17-14) of 3.

by reversing all of the progressions, you no longer need to subtract. what you roll added to your attack bonus is the ac that you hit.

Anyway I didnt ask in the tone of voice that you have in your head . Was a simple question and THACO is a guild name on Ghallanda . Maybe I coulda used better word maybe I shoulda had better replies come to me other than the ones that made sense which was the meaning of THACO but i already new that . O well .
