Question Looking for some LoTR tips

I am finally taking a brief vacation of the slums of DDO to visit the premier Turbine property, LoTR.

Stepping out from the shadow in which the step-child sits, I was wondering if any of my fellow DDOers have any tips as I go on my little adventure int Middle Earth ... help me prepare for the culture shock so to speak ...

    Thanks in advance!

    Well...

Be prepared for limitations, to start with. There are 4 races and...I think 7 classes (+2 more if you have the Mines of Moria expansion). Not all races can be all classes, and there is no multiclassing. The class you start with pretty much defines your role in the game (Minstrel = Healer, Guardian = Tank, Champion = Melee DPS, Hunter = Ranged DPS, etc.).

Once you get past that and still want to play, there's a big beautiful world to explore, with separate homelands for each of the 4 races (and different quest lines for each start area), lots of "fluff" (titles like "Pie Eating Champion", a complex system for playing musical instruments, personal and guild housing, cosmetic outfits, etc.), and an interesting, engaging storyline (but with somewhat dull combat compared with DDO - standing still and using autoattack is a somwhat viable way to play, at least while soloing).

If you've got any more specific questions, feel free to ask

Elindilmir is the equivalent of Khyber and Argonnessen. My guild and manoflegends guild are on this one.

DfC was playing on another server with The Bloodlords.

Brandywine has a gianormous population complete with heaps of kids.

Thanks Kistilian. I have not had much chance to try it since downloading it but I hope to have a little time this weekend. I'll jump over to your server!
