Default keep having to repair ddo installation

I currently got a new computer I downloaded DDO and installation goes just fine, after i exit out of DDO and try to go back on I cannot, DDO is not recognized under all programs list and when i go to the dndsetup under the files i downloaded it launches the game but says i need to do a repair installation. How do i play DDO w/o reinstalling it every dang time?

    Default Having a similar issue

Except I cannot run it after it installs and it wants me to keep repairing installation. New comp as well.

If your running Windows Vista the game should create an icon in the Vista "Games" panel (part of the "Games for Windows" certificaiton). Click on the Vista "start" button and choose "Games" there should be a DDO icon in there.

Try going into C:\Program Files\Turbine\Dungeons & Dragons Online - Stormreach and find the "TurbineregisterGDF.exe" file, right-click it choose "Run as Administrator" and you should get a few success messages to click ok on and there should be an icon in Games afterward, if you get errors let me know though.

    Default Fix doesn't work

The above fix doesn't correct this same problem my wife is having on her pc. She installs/reparis the game and plays a session only to find that the next time she tries to load the game nothing happens when she clicks the icon. When she right clicks the icon in her Vista Games folder, there is no option for "Play." She runs Vista Home Premium 32-bit with an NVidia 7600GT graphics card. THis is now happening on my laptop running Win 7 Premium.

The game seems to be great but the frustration in getting it load reliably is almost ridiculous. We've repaired my wife's installation 4 times in three days!

    Default one better (or, worse)

I've got the same issue with the broken install, and the DDO Icon not having the "Play" option, but if I go into the Turbine folder, Windows Explorer crashes! Seriously! The game plays perfectly if I launch immediately from the install. But if I logout and want to play again, my only option is to reinstall the game again. Strange.
