currently level 6, drow pally..

I was wondering if this would be worthwhile to take, is it only good at lower levels? Can you level up your pet? Is this gonna be useless after level 12?

Also was wondering if i should have taken a different path such as unyielding soverignty.

Chilidog uses the Unyeilding enhancement and loves it. It has saved his behind quite a few times.
I haven't tried the Avatar one yet, but am in the process of leveling a pally to try it. *shrug*
