Just saved my 1st raid from a wipe

I was on my cleric and just saved my first quest, ther Reaver raid on Elite, from a wipe.

As a bonus I got the high roll on a Dreamspitter!

You are correct the save is paramount but I thought getting the high roll on the item was icing on the cake

Wish I could report an equal success after being dragged into my first Hound at lvl 14 as the cleric ... but alas we were dogfood ... twice.

No sorry I've got several raids under my belt I've been in all of them at least once except for SOS and Abbot. It's just the 1st time where I've been able to salvage things. For example, the other day in the Shroud despite chugging way more mana pots and burning way more Heal scrolls than I should have I couldn't save the day.

So your telling me when we ran DQ and you where only caster and got the necklace and the knife is not better than saving a party wipe?

Nice...made me think about how I (contributed) to saving a Reaver raid about a week ago on one of my Rogue's. I've been in so many and it's still hard to figure out where the weak participants were in the raid...however...on our 2nd attempt, I picked up fly and opted to go hit the rez lever. Despite lots of players sitting in the penalty box, a few managed to survive largely on their own in a room full of Elementals for several minutes. Went through multiple attempts to rez the party (they'd get one, another would die, etc etc) until most were up except me stuck at the rez lever.

Group went to the puzzle and despite having limited spellcasting resources, managed to complete the puzzle with less than 10 seconds to spare...only to have the entire raid (except me, I deliberately stayed up at the rez lever) get wiped due to excessive quantities of air elementals.

After rezzing a few (and a few of them rezzing the remainder), we ranged what must have been 30 or more air elementals just in the great chamber alone...yeah, the one that almost wasn't.

Thought the whole thing was fracking hilarious. Success/Failure - after a few hundred runs through it it barely matters - was funny that it came down that those few critical decisions to get it done.

I'll be re-rolling the character in payment for that fiasco.
