Favor Capped!

At ~12:30 AM Pacific Time Sunday, April 12, 2009, Hydrolics, constructed in Module 7, ascended to godhood when he reached 2865 favor. Thanks to everyone who helped me on my path to greatness!

I have several characters around the 2750 mark. That last hundred or so is tough to get.

Yes, getting the last bits of favor to become capped is a slow process--after all, you put those quests off until last for a reason!

It seems to be a common complain among the player base that the current game content is too easy, but many of them seem to forget about elite raids (and other situations where having 1 good player in the group does not guarantee mission success). Part of the reason I made this post is to show that it is possible to beat the Abbott, even in a PUG on elite, if you are determined to. Hydrolics beat the Abbott on elite with an exceptional team and exceptional teamwork January 18, 2009, and I look forward to many more completions post Mod 9. Favor-capping is not just for the oldest characters on the server!

I am a little disappointed that DDO currently gives no real incentive to cap a character on favor (not even a pat-on-the-back message in your mailbox). Back when 1750 favor rewards were released, 1750 was very close to the favor cap--now it is not unusual to see a character reach 1750 favor before becoming XP capped. Perhaps a wise move on Turbine's part would be to provide more incentive to earn high favor on each character, in order to provoke a renewed interest in the content which is already out there...

This is the reason that only 1 of my characters got 2800+ favor and the other ones around 600-1300

Congrats on this great achievement i know how hard it is to get it done.
