Starts to a black screen

Hi, I have recently purchased and installed DDO. I get through the launcher, game starts up to a black screen with a loading icon, and nothing starts. No title screen, no music, no red blip on a my pc activity light after a few seconds.

Windows XP with nvidia 6800 and a 1.7 or.8 gig cpu

I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, redownloading, reinstalling without norton running or firewall, high res install, stand res install, etc. etc. etc. I've searched the forums and so far haven't seen anyhting similar. Maybe its a video config or something? Such as turning off fullscreen - again, I'm completely unable to even get to any screen at all to change any settings. Any help would be appreciated!
