How long should it take to download updates?

I just put the game(dvd) on a new computer, and its been downloading the updates for about 6 hrs, its on the updateing game data part now and its at 10837/..... Is this normal?

all computers are different so i dare not speak about how long it "should" take, but when i downloaded Llamannia, there were about 22k files to download, after the beach/korthos/char screen/outdoor area so sounds like you little less than halfway, if my numbers are factual.

So 12 hrs is about avg? I know that things vary depending on internet speed, cpu, (X) but I was wondering if any one knows what the average time would be? I have a cable connection(@#$@#$ comcast) if that helps in estimating?

its really hard to tell, my first computer, my gaming one took like 12 but thats cause i didnt know the TDM yet, prolly couldve done it in six.

my older computer, hunk a junk, took around 4-6 i think

my laptop took all night lol

Thanks for the replies, fyi it ended up taking about 11 hrs, and the % on the updating game data was at 0% for about 9 of that(meaning for me that was no basis of estimating time remaining)

Its based on your internet. it has to download everything that has happened scince it released.
