Black Screen of Death?

I was just in Lamannia and used the "Reset Default Setting's" button in Options panel and now BOTH my clients will not display anything. The screen is black the moment I log into each now, what is going on? How can a glaring bug like this been overlooked? Am I forced to reinstall both my original game and Lamannia again, and if I do....will it even reset things so I can actually use them?

*Edit* I uninstalled and started the reinstall of Lamannia but....get to character selection screen and STILL have a black screen of death. Nothing changed.

Yes but it appeared while I was in game. All I did was use the reset button in options because some setting were out of whack. Once I did, blackness. Restarted and everything after log in to character selection screen was all black. Could only close game down at that point. Tried a few times and same thing, blackness. Sounds came in clear but not display. I restored and did not change anything but I deleted Userpreferences file and I can log back in main client but the Lamannia client is trashed. Have to reinstall it completely and hope it works.
