Spell Resistance?

To what extent do fighter at around lvl 10 use spell resistance item?

My lvl 10 went to Sorrowdusk to test out a weapon - and got held twice in succession. His Will save is 5, with a +2 resistance item and +2 wisdom item. He doesn't typically wear a spell resistance item, mainly because I wouldn't know where to put it. Any suggestions?

some people wear them, but in general sr items are not that useful relative to the levels you get them; a sr 17-19-22 item woudl be great in sorrowdusk, but by the time you can wear it, its not strong enough for endgame stuff


One of my toons runs around with a sr 22 all the time (ring of thelis): i notice it helping a lot in demon queen flagging, but it doesn't ever go off in endgame content. Its a hound raidloot drop and I have never seen a beholder eyebeam that uses a sr: yes spell (enervate, fts, hold) fail its sr check against me.

Make sure you wear the best wisdom/resistance item available at your level, will help a great deal.
