I was here at head start. I took a long break due to family health stuff, but I even paid during that time, and will continue to pay for as long as they keep adding new stuff. I am excited about mod 9, and look forward to a long future with DDO.

I think its healthy for those that are bored/unhappy to not renew. There's new blood coming in that is excited and having fun, and its much more fun to group with an enthusiastic new player who may not be that well equipped or experienced, than group with a very well equipped/experienced player that is full of cynicism and rants endlessly. So I dont get depressed hearing about player's leaving if they aren't having fun...its a natural progression of any MMO. I'd only worry if there were no new players coming in...and I still see a lot...

I forget exactly. I got here shortly after release back in '06. I played for a few months and quit for quite a while. I came back the summer of '07 briefly, and then finally got hooked for good sometime in '08.

I'm hesitant to say that I'll be sticking with DDO until it shuts down, because persistent lag and longer waits for less content are wearing me down. But until there's another MMO that has a similar combat system, I think I'll stick around. I also really enjoy the DDO community and am in no hurry to get away from you cool people.

On the combat note, Darkfall is showing some promise, although it's a bit rough around the edges. Time will tell.

Started Feb 06 in head start. Missed one month due to computer issues. Now I have 3 accounts. I do not plan on leaving anytime soon, but I am very worried about the lack of new content.

I got the invitation to play beta on 20 December 2005. I patched the game and was playing that day. I left the other game I was playing, and never looked back. Sometimes I still haunt through Asheron's Call. A friends thing there. I have 2 accounts. I have max chars on Thelanis. I have all but 5 characters on Ghallanda. I have enjoyed every quest I've done and enjoy every quest I do again. I have played Dungeons & Dragons in one form or another continually since 1980. There is no other game. I will continue playing until Turbine unplugs the machine. Mod 9 should be really cool. Mod 9 tomorrow, I'm happy. Mod 9 in July? I'm still happy.
