Self-casting remedies

Spells like remove paralysis, blindness, etc., can they be casted on the caster? The spell description says ally, but I was wondering if it works on the caster as well.

in theory they can, but somethings prevent some of them, for instance, if you are held you can use remove paralysis

Hobgoblin means if you are held you can't use remove paralysis.

Also, if you are feared, you can't use remove fear. You can use your Remove Fear pots on other people, however...
