Did I mess up the dates, or did DDO already bury him while still alive?

Dave Arneson passed away on April 7, 2009, according to his Wikipedia article and backed up by the thread linked in this one.

The Dave Arneson tribute was placed in Threnal with the launch of DDO:EU, which (though I can't ever recall the release date) had it's release notes added to the compendium on Monday, August 31st, 2009 when the update was locked in stone.
