Ya, it is very difficult to verify when people will pick up the story and not source their information. I found a few places that mentioned it, and only one linked to their source (which wasn't the original). In retrospect, it is looking like it all came from grognardia.

Not blaming you at all, hope it didn't come out that way. What I mean, and what you said as well in your latest post, is that I agree - too many sites just "yank" information from original sources without providing specific links to those sources. Even when they do mention where they got it from, you'll see "...as reported in _____". Trace it back to the source and you realize that the story doesn't necessarily have much sourcing at all.

You see the same thing on gaming sites: Gamasutra will report something and within an hour its on GameSpot, IGN, Kotaku, Engadget, 1up, Game Informer, etc - all essentially parroting the original information! If that one writer is wrong, then it's up to the other sites to do some sourcing of their own in order to prevent problems like this from happening.

Same thing happens in the national news media too, but I don't want to get into that...

I just ran Threnal several times for a guildie, but I have the DM voice off permanently because of some of the really cheesy moments in some of the quests (you know the ones). If there had been a credit like in the beginning of Delera's I would have turned it on for that series.
