Being weaker vs Raksashas is not much of a problem.

Would you be weaker vs DR Silver + Good, then that would be a much more significant problem.

"A lot" of DR does not mean it will result in a huge DPS loss.

HOWEVER my concern is that DDO's old transmuting made up for a lack or oversite DDO had with not implementing the FULL range of core PnP weapon option, lack of certen weapon types, (B/S/P), for certen fighting styles, or classes.

    Specific Examples of GREAT concern:
-Monks HAVE NO Pirce option that do not uncenter them, and thus have no way to over come Pirce DR, in PnP sorce they have Sighams for this.
-Two Hand Fighters have NO Pirce options at all, in PnP they have LOTS, lance, halbred, Spear, long spear, etc, (+ the option to use 1 handed weapons in 2 hands).

Both of these cause a big problem since mainy higher level spiders have Pirce DR, and Rakshasas(sp), have VERY HIGH pirce DR , (15!).

These 2 are my BIG concerns But also of lessor concern IS:
-Monks have no one handed Finessible BLUNT weapon options, PnP sorce would have Sai, or Nunchuks(sp).

MY Request/PLEA is that Transmuting Retain it's weapon Type, (Blungoning, pirce, slash), bypassing ability untill such time as weapon types for all fighting styles/classes are implemented.

I feel that DnD is a GREAT game and every PnP character I've ever had always carried weapons to deal with every concivable DR, heck even my wizzards did lol and they never used them!

    Thank-You
i feel the same way about my fighter not for the same reasons but im and will be specd for slash and if it ends up me having to grab a maul for lich types or a piercer for something reasonably harder then the average trash mob ill kind of be a bit disapointed losing all my damage, cant we just get a special enhancement on weapons that would include some blunt or piercing damage for dr bypassing effect

Maybe we will get extremely lucky and they will finally put some new two handers in the game. Scythes (slashing and piercing) and Spears (piercing) would be a **** nice start.

Kinda kills the whole kensai thing. Can't use your min II signature weapon against everything anymore.

But being uncentered is a major PITA have to re toggel stances etc cant use Ki attakcs/finishers basicaly ALLL the DEV work put in to DDO monks gets pushed asside to you can over come basic DR types, becuase of a luck of a few core PnP weapons, heck you don't realyl even need new gfx at least one of the dagger modles would work for a Sigham(the shive type one is close enough), and at least one of the dagger models would work for a Sai(blunt option)...

Also bunch of spiders are pirce DR, though it's much smaler DR, it;s still unfair to have whole fighting styles with absolutly NO way to over come it, (2hand fightign & centered monk).

... that may not be true

    dagger = 1d4
fists at level 16 = 2d8 + Stances which could mean higher strength or faster attack and effects

I think the fist has it... depending on the DR

again not necessarily true. It may not be overly difficult for Turbine to Code a secondary Transmuting effect as a Suffix that is exclusive with the Transmuting Prefix... meaning that you can't have both on a single weapon.

True but it also has a 19-20/x2, but fist get higher base (2d10), faster swing rate, wind stance, full Str on offhand and Stunning Fist/Quivering Palm - so it probably wins out.

what? secondary transmuting? no. they dont have holy transmuters, transmuters of pure good are in the game and will take care of pit fiend dr. thats what im talking about. no way in hell they will waste time making a change to allow holy transmuters to drop when nearly the same exists. if you want a holy transmuter bad enough, roll a paladin or get used to xmuting pg

I think I'd still perfer Transmuting to bypass Damage Type (Bludg,Slash, Pierce) and just not bypass Alignment or any effect type (though I don't think there are any DRs like that anyway ... no dr/fire )

or make a mineral II perhaps?

I wouldn't assume too much about what Turbine may "Waste Time doing"

Occassionally they do stuff just because someone on their team gets the idea in his/her head and thinks it may be neat

but the thing is unless non-damage effects (like the devotion and regen enhancements) that go on the min 2 count toward the weapons alignment, not all min 2 weapons will break pit fiend dr. and theyre sure as **** not the only gun youll ever need anymore. MORE MORE!!!!!! keep me awake!

EDIT: **** if i know whether they do or not, ive never bothered to check

Nope but if the contention was that Transmuting and Holy shall never meet then that's obviously not true as Mineral II can have both Holy and Transmuting
