That would be terrific Bold and I am very glad to be back! I have been running those 2 desert chests to ransack but been unlucky on pulling one. I will eventually pull one though and I will replace it back to you when those chests decide to smarten up; which hopefully will be next ransack timer.

Just checked the Khyber forum, Boldrin you are leaving DDO in May? We will be losing a great player for sure. As many have recommended I would keep an account just for that off chance you have a nostolgic idea and want to revisit your account. I just came back after 7 months away and its great to come back, the community is trully fantastic. I actually hit the gym and got into better shape then I have been in since I was much younger as well! Of course, whatever you think is best; just thought I'd drop my 2 copper in.


Main reason I'm looking for a second bloodstone is that the one on Prey is bound and attunded and with the new mod and changes to 2hander fighting I am finally able to dust off Extinction and get him back into the mix!! Can't wait - but I stripped him of his bloodstone long ago and need to replace for him so he can put that old school Sword of Shadows to good use hehe.

As for Fluffy I understand to a point what your saying but have to disagree on your statement overall. There is more then the value that is the auction house and more importantly the forums. The economics and people that seem to set values have changed over my break it looks like; but I wouldn't speak in absolutes for the value of everything to everyone. What you label as most desirable number 4 could easily change .. heck .. I cannot believe the Docent of Defiance lol, that is crazy - but its a prime example. And right now if you are buying bloodstones at this price instead of selling them - you either have a tun of spare plat lying around or your making a poor investment blindly by buying into the hype.

I'm sure we all want a healthy economy within the game and forums but if we don't use rationality to guide that things go south. I have been here from launch and watched all sorts of things happen within the economy - and have always been an active participant within it; for myself and helping my friends locate items to help their builds.

If you really want my opinion, given the new Pally PrE coming out I think buying those Belts you see on the AH for dirt cheap would be 100 times better invesetment then buying a way over inflated Bloodstone any day. Couple that with the fact that the belt takes way longer to farm and requires a group. There is no common sense driving the price through the roof for the Bloodstone - I refuse to invest that much into one.

I could be way off on what I think, and that's fine its just my opinion.

True dat. But it's also not nearly as useful. There's only 2 trinket items that a well equipped player uses most of the time - the bloodstone and the reaver head, and only one of those is tradeable (i'd include kardin's eye, but BOI's and the reaver head or even just a +4 resist item and the reaver head is better). Additionally, not all melee characters benefit from a possible 2 extra AC, but they all benefit from seeker 6, which makes the bloodstone more widely desirable.
