Default client timed out the connection errors

Getting repeated "Connection failed: client timed out the connection" errors after the "searching for logon server" makes its 20 attempts.

Had this problem 2 other days this week. Those times it went away after I restarted my computer however, this seems like it was just a coincidence as I have restarted today and the problem persists.

** edit restarted modem, restarted computer several times, attmpted logon at least 10 times. no success

    Default Same Error - Random

Need assistance to fix this error. One day, connects. Next day, nothing. I just rejoined after a year away and have been unable to log in more days than not.

Technical suggestions from anyone? At least it's not limited to just me and the firewall is down. Have reset the modem, ensured the internet active and tried multiple computers. One day it just works, next no luck.

    Default XP fix

Sounds like the XP fix I had to implement when I first installed the client ... I am having the same issue but looking for that fix now.

Default 20 login attempts failed and connection times out

I am sorry to say this but i am glad to hear that it isnt just me that is having these login problems I have been going nuts for almost two weeks now.

I have not been able to login since the shut down of all the servers due to the datacentre changes. I keep getting these 20 failed login attempts everyday and havent logged in to play for almost two weeks. I have contacted the tech support and so far had to check all of the following without any luck: firewall exceptions (deleting the dndclient and turbinelauncher and re-adding), deleting all the cookies in the internet explorer (apparently dnd launcher accesses that area), deleting the bindat and the patches folders in ddo and running the updates again, reloading windows XP and reinstalling Stormreach from scratch. I have practically wiped my computer and reinstalled everything. Even after the full install of windows, patches, DDO game and updates i am back to square one... And according to tech support, the verdict is that it is still my end that is at fault <lol>...whatever!

My subscription is due to run out early July this year and have emailed turbine requesting assistance with this on numerous occassions. I dont want to cancel my subscription but at the same token I cant sit idle while time runs by. Turbine please pull your finger(s) out and if you cant fix this issue then compensate people with added time to their accounts or reimburse their remaining subscriptions. Enough is enough...
