Noooooope something else. I'm in the process of getting it ready. I was hoping to have it for our victory dance over Nintendo, but getting all the games and billing working has been top priority.

By the time Eladrin got done messing around in there, I don't think you'll recognize the Abbot. It's like Extreme Home Makeover: Necropolis Edition.

I'll admit I'm bummed that the time we've spent figuring out the Abbot won't apply so much anymore, but it's probably for the best that it's getting some revamping.

I hope that the puzzles won't be made too easy. Asteroids was totally broken, but tiles and ice are cleverly designed, fun, and take a level of teamwork that isn't often seen in the game. Kudos to the designers.

Even if the Abbot puzzles are radically changed, I hope that the devs implement something similar in future designs. We as a playerbase are up to tough puzzles and needing to spend time to learn raids! I think the reasons that Abbot never became widely pugged are 1) Asteroids are totally broken and can't be completed as intended and 2) The random timing of the infernos and the quest objects disappearing on death make the end fight potentially random, rough and frustrating. Those things defeated/turned off a lot of people and kept them from learning and teaching the raid as much as say, Titan.

So, cheers for the clever design of the original Abbot. I hope the new version is equally fun, even if I have to start learning it all over again. Things change and we'll deal . And I hope challenging and innovative teamwork puzzles continue to be a part of future quests in DDO.

I would probably wait on that one. If it were something easier like Reaver, Shroud, Titan, etc I'd say keep going.

The *new shinies* is going to be a big deal. Of course, you also have to consider the learning curve on completing the Abbot in his new format.

Best thing to do is go to the new test server and see if you can get a group together to hit the Abbot up (and see if the new on is loaded, figure it out and determine if you will be able to complete it when it goes live).
