Turbine's Losing to Nintendo!

Hate to say it but Nintendo > Turbine. I've spent the better part of my life playing Super Mario, Mario Kart, Contra, Zelda, and Smash Bros. You went far Turbine, but no one can stand up to the juggernaut known as Nintendo.

I have spend 100's of hours playing my nes then they stoped making kickass rpgs and i stoped playing nintendo .they wennt to some sort of i am 5 years old look momy i can play games after that. i stoped then they made a comback i like the wii but i still voted for ddo. why becouse i have spend 1000's of hours playing ddo and i want this game to be around i have to much invested in my toons to have the servers shut down becouse the players stoped playing. i must believe what devs we have left are extrealy undermaned and underpayed and they stay becouse we do. now is it not the time to though a **** fit we do that everyday on these forums. now is the time to do somthing about it and bring in new blood into the game. so mybe we can get more devs more devs faster mods more game play we took over and pawned them over there. now in the final streach we are wimping out i bet they are laughing over there that we are getting are ass handed to us by a bunch of rude kids. i would be

I don't see why not. They have not shown us any love over there since day one. If we lose, they would be more upset that we helped get Nintendo the final victory than us winning outright. They do not like Nintendo, all the more reason in the next round to give them that very thing they hate more than us. Bitterness? No. We already won by getting DDO known better. I am sure that those in DDO who voted against Turbine this whole time would at least be on board with getting Nintendo as the final victor if we lose this round. They got their protest by having Turbine lose, why not work as one in the final battle as one unit? Show them how only we can trash talk each other, not outsiders trash talking us. :P

Really? That would be a shame, wouldn't it? To me, what greater honor would it be if we /saluted the very Developer who beat us this round, Nintendo? We can show our humble respect by voting for them in round 5 and...it won't be out of spite but out of respect to the one who bested us. Right?

Yeah... BUT I kinda love Bioware a little more than Nintendo. Plus, Bioware is very limited in its console releases and that will sorta of tick off all the Naughty Dawg, Valve & Bethseda fans. I think they might prefer Nintendo over Bioware. I'm not going for spite though, honestly... I really like Bioware and they've had my vote every round.

I love Bioware AND Relic also. Love their games, I have a stack of their games right here on my desktop. But to me, we already won by the attention we got so far...and will continue to have. So, why not put or full, honorable support behind the ones who beat us? Sure, anyone can vote however they want but I will feel a small amount of pride to help the developer who beat us. That shows true sportsmenship in my eyes.

The problem with this round is that all the people who are talking smack on that site about turbine outweigh the actual turbine supporters. Turbine will lose this round merely because people are voting against us for no other reason then to see us lose.

Whether or not turbine pulls this one off speaks loudly about the community we have here. It represents that even through all the issues and downtime that we have endured we still love this game and turbine for producing it.

You can say what you want about being offline for 24 hours or even 48 or that loot weekends don't fall when you want them too, but no matter what you people even the complainers are still playing and still here whining. That's ironic don't you think?

Turbine winning or losing is not the issue. We have already won by the attention we are getting, the word about this game is out there and we have many people expressing interest in this game. Now, voting for Turbine helps because we can push this on further into the rounds and get even more exposure for Turbine. More importantly, for DDO.

In a perfect world, yes Turbine should be advertising this game. I will agree with that BUT we have known for years that has not really happened. We have to accept that and look at a positive approach to this issue. We can sit and do nothing which is fine, no worries there. Or some of us who are willing can help get the word out about DDO to help get us more players sent our way. Although this is not "our" game in some sense, it is "our" game in the sense that we love it enough to want it to succeed. We can take a proactive approach or an apathetic approach which falls on us as individual players. I know I will, others can join in this if they wish too.


No one is required to vote. True. Although I personally would like to see more people vote or at the least drum up support and let others over there hear good things about this game if they have a few moments. I love this game enough to spend what time I have to see other people like some over there show interest in DDO, them ask questions and ask for help getting a trial account. I see this as a positive thing for us even if Turbine does not win for the final round, to me we already won for the attention alone.

I voted for Turbine.

However, if you read some of the votes - many are voting against turbine because of the log in issues (saw at least 3 or 4 LOTRO posts to that effect).

All the valve guys who were so upset to have lost are voting against Turbine.

With the outages we are having, log in issues, etc. many players are just not voting.


And Bioware is beating Relic.

I'm just going to play devil's advocate and point out the game was probably not balanced then and needs a new mod.
